I get it on why people feels its early to talk about this matter. Since 600+ days is far away to happen.

Last cycle we see the hype cools down faster and we can actually notice that its not the same from previous ones.

But what good thing about halving is the effect of this event is for long term. Because this will lead Bitcoin to cut off its supply every 4 years. So even the interest of the cycle ends. It doesn't change the fact that halving contributes a lot to lessen the supply of Bitcoin and this is more important than chasing those sentiments or hypes.

Looking at the past cycles, the 2012 halving was followed by a new ATH in 2013. Then the 2016 halving was followed by the 2017 ATH, and the 2020 halving came before another major run in 2021.

The 2024 halving also followed the same general idea, so it’s understandable why many are already excited about the next one and hoping the pattern continues.

If you even start any form of count down from this point that's supposed to last for a period of 600 days plus, we can bet that he won't be able to remain consistent in following up this thread till that time and what impact or difference will that make?

It's even likely that a lot of event would have played out before the halving that will override it just like we had in the previous one where we experienced an ATH even before the halving occurred. Talking about next halving from 2026 is almost like discussing when we will get to $1M when we've not gotten to $500.

We have 625 days in which you can easily decide to invest in Bitcoin and wait for that long. 2028 will be the profit of many investors and we will see the increasing prices of Bitcoin going up. Obviously, those who have to invest have already decided about it, but some people are thinking of investing in 2027, but at this time the price of Bitcoin is down and it can make a big difference in halving, which they will know only then. Agreed, it is too early to start building any anticipation right now because of rapidly changing factors that could affect Bitcoin by the halving time. So I assume that this thread will fade in a while and eventually resume in a year. Historical data shows prices rising to some extent in the 6-12 months leading up to the halving, so let's keep our fingers crossed that this tendency doesn't change.

At the current price, starting to buy now could make sense if the goal is to prepare for the next halving. Bitcoin is already far below its ATH, so for me this looks like a better entry than buying again when the hype is already everywhere. I’m not saying it can’t dump lower, because nothing is guaranteed in crypto, but waiting for the perfect bottom can also make us miss the chance.

More than a year of slowly accumulating is probably the easier approach. No need to buy everything at once.

Then if the usual halving hype returns, at least we are already positioned and not chasing a high price.

damn its still need atleast 2 years or more for bitcoin to take another all time high if the 4 year cycle still exist by then and for the sake of geopolitic isnt going like this.

But if you ask me what Im going to do for the next bitcoin halving? Im going to start bitcoin dca until bitcoin hit bottomed price maybe around 50K ish, maybe add some major altcoin since we didnt hit altcoin season last year just in case. and that all and ride the wave of crypto up and down cycle

We're still halfway there. I think it's indeed too early to discuss about it. But we can always start a countdown whenever we like.

However, when it comes to preparation, even the halving isn't the main consideration. It's probably shortsighted to just set our goal at the next halving. If we take a couple of steps back, Bitcoin is continuously rising, so the earlier you stack Sats the better, that's whether the halving is happening sooner or later.

There's actually not much to prepare. It's just a matter of stacking Sats and hodling.

I am preparing by buying now, not waiting for the perfect time, because I think the idea of perfect timing is an idea sold by the bears, so it's better to not buy it if you really want to accumulate for the long term. I can still buy bitcoin at $40k or $50k if I have capital, but if not, then at least I am in now and will do everything to maintain this position without selling.

Instead, we must forget that we have bought anything or how much exactly we have bought because that's the only way to survive the bear traps and hold our bitcoins for a long time. So that's how I am prepared for it. Buy and forget haha.

It is never too early to discuss the halving. Newbies are joining the forum regularly, and such discussions will help keep them prepared for the events ahead. From now until 15th April, 2028, they will carry out their research, know what to expect, and prepare well for it. April 2028 is too far away, as we just finished our ATH. Earlier, I discussed the possibility of a Bitcoin bottom reaching up to 70%, with the price hovering around $45,000 to $50,000. If only as a reminder to be prepared, I think DCA is an option to pursue now while waiting for the next halving in 2028. At least the wait isn't too tedious. Having enough money to buy doesn't make the preparation for the 2028 halving feel overwhelming.
