A job must not necessarily be a white collar job, some guys who have talents in music and can handle the microphone or instruments very well have high paying jobs themselves by hiring out their services for good pay.
You don't necessarily need a degree to get a good job, you need a skill and some specialization in that skill to be highly employable and preferrable, that way you would be sought after because of your talents and no one would care much about your certificates.
