Social media has been helpful in many ways to humans for example, social media has made it possible for the fast spreading of news, people can start up small business through social media, social media have made it possible for communities to organize charity work and raise awareness for important issues.

In another way social media has also caused harm to the society for example, social media has made false information to spread very fast thereby causing issues between people, social media has also made bullying and harassment very common, social media has also destroyed the unity in a family, if you check in many families a lot of them don't communicate with each other anymore because of social media.

What could be blamed? Social media or phone? I think if phones are not capable of having social media, but people using just computers for it, it may not be this bad.

If you are living together as a family, social media make you people not to really communicate, but you all still have enough time that you are communicating very well, but maybe some families are different.

At home let big TV be in the living room, they will prefer it to phones to watch movies. Movies on phones is part of it and not just only social media.

Technically, I think it's done more good than harm. You can get information faster, learn different things, and meet people and see different points of view. Social media has made it easy for people to reach a broader audience unlike in the stone age when information only reached a small circle of people at that time. Social media has even eased stress from a lot of people because sometimes, you can be going through something that is troubling your mind, and you just log in to social media and watch a content that will make you happy while you forget about a challenge that you are facing.
