Altcoins are moving again, but it feels less like new adoption and more like a single thing: risk-on/risk-off trading. Bitcoin acts like the market’s core, while most alts just swing like leverage on top of it. Lately I’ve been seeing pairs where alts don’t actually diverge on fundamentals, they diverge on whether liquidity is coming back. If BTC dominance is rising, it usually means capital is rotating out of alts, not into them. So I’m wondering: are we in a phase where altcoins are just beta to BTC (and macro liquidity), meaning picking individual winners is mostly luck? Or are there still pockets where fundamentals matter and you can front-run the rotation?
