I got into it in 2017, when ETH was two years old and worthing less than 100 USD

If not mistaken, I first invested in ETH right after the 2021 bull run ended. specifically in 2022. At the time, the price was below $1,500. I’ve been holding onto it. aiming to take profits when ETH hits around $7,000. a milestone I hoped would happen during the 2025 alt-season. But, the market changes rapidly. ETH didn't even reach $5,000 back then. That’s why I’m still holding it today. I’m just grateful that it’s ETH. so I’m confident there’s still time for it to rise again in the future. Ethereum remains a worthwhile long-term investment.
In this regard, ETH is a very slow-moving asset. It will most likely be a few more years before ETH even begins to rise relative to BTC, thereby slightly stealing BTC's market dominance. By the way, looking at the ETH/BTC chart on longer time frames, you can see some positive signs that ETH may appreciate relative to BTC over the next few years. ETH holders can only dream of 0.11 BTC per ETH for now, but a rally to the 0.05-0.06 BTC range seems like a realistic scenario to me in the coming years.
There is no denying that things have been a bit different. Since the 2025 bull run, the expected price action hasn't happened. In fact, ETH's price movement was quite sluggish back then compared to other top coins. and its movement hasn't been particularly significant this year either. But, fortunately, it is still holding its ground. and the potential remains. It ultimately comes down to a few factors that will determine whether it can rise up and skyrocket or not.
