I personally prefer to see and analyze the altcoin prices against bitcoin not against dollar. That's because one of the main reasons why altcoin prices seem to be going up against dollar is because bitcoin price keeps going up against dollar and all altcoins have to do is not get dumped bigger than bitcoin's price rise and they'll have a price rise against dollar as well. In this case for example ETH got dumped from its ATH at 0.11BTC in 2017 all the way down to 0.02BTC in 2026 all the while its dollar price seems to be going up.

In this regard, ETH is a very slow-moving asset. It will most likely be a few more years before ETH even begins to rise relative to BTC, thereby slightly stealing BTC's market dominance. By the way, looking at the ETH/BTC chart on longer time frames, you can see some positive signs that ETH may appreciate relative to BTC over the next few years. ETH holders can only dream of 0.11 BTC per ETH for now, but a rally to the 0.05-0.06 BTC range seems like a realistic scenario to me in the coming years.

Ethereum coin has been in the market for a long time, but despite performing well in the past, the current situation of Ethereum coin is very bad. Because people are holding back from investing due to the fact that its price has not improved much, they have failed to take more advanced steps for a long time. As a result, if such a situation continues for a long time in the future, there is a possibility that the price of Ethereum coin will deteriorate further.
Therefore, of course, the owner of the Ethereum platform should take more advanced steps, then investors will be able to restore confidence in Ethereum coin again.

It's bad that way because the team made it sucks. It has been alleged between 2023 and 2025 that the Ethereum foundation team were dumping ether on the market, this was why Ethereum was not doing well. If there should be a coin that is second near Bitcoin, Ethereum is the best choice, tested and trusted in term of security but look at the price today, to break all time is a big challenge because people are not having hopes on the project like before.

I don't think that the Ethereum supply is the problem, all coins apart from Bitcoin has one way that their supply increases except for coins that are fork or proof of work. What amused me about Ethereum is that BNB, Sol had good run to a new all time high but Ethereum couldn't do what they did. It was when the alt were not making it again the price later start running and as soon as it reaches the all time high, the price dump back to where it started.

We may see some pumps and dumps in ETH market from time to time but it is unlikely to see any major pump for its price to go significantly higher. That's pretty much the story of all old shitcoins with a large market that have been over-pumped in the past. This shitcoins attracted a lot of newbies who thought they were the "big deals" the advertisers told them, and now these newbies are the bag holders who are dying to dump their bags to get their initial capital out. That makes any future major-pumps impossible.

On top of that ETH has an unlimited supply therefore the inflation alone prevents any major pumps since technically its intrinsic value constantly decreases with time due to rising "supply". Not to mention that the demand for it dwindles as well since the "demand" was only a hype for tokens which cannot last forever.

Agree with what you observe here, since ETH truly moves the same with those old and over pump coins. By having unlimited supply that also means the supply of this coin keeps expanding. Also there are lots of early buys waiting for their chance to exit on the scene. With that this gives another reason why its hard to expect for those huge pump

If we also look at the demands it seems that we don't see any significant growth compare when the hype of DeFI and ICO's is there, now it seems that it became so steady. Without seeing the same hype before ETH price action will remain so weak. Yeah ETH still exist but those massive hypes on which we see it continue climbing is provably over.

ETH could still have those short time pumps and dumps, but its hard to expect a huge bull run for this coin given its inflation, demand is slowly fading and we see it already that this coin is been over pump.

Idk if this should make me happy or sad, it's been a cool journey but then when I think about all the shitcoins ETH was the launchpad for.....  Roll Eyes & all the scams too...

I'd prefer the old ETH.. idk if I'd prefer PoW over PoS, that's still up for debate (pls don't attack me!! I just personally like the way PoS works) but overall the old one without all the shitcoins takes the crown 100%

I got into it in 2017, when ETH was two years old and worthing less than 100 USD  Smiley
If not mistaken, I first invested in ETH right after the 2021 bull run ended. specifically in 2022. At the time, the price was below $1,500. I’ve been holding onto it. aiming to take profits when ETH hits around $7,000. a milestone I hoped would happen during the 2025 alt-season. But, the market changes rapidly. ETH didn't even reach $5,000 back then. That’s why I’m still holding it today. I’m just grateful that it’s ETH. so I’m confident there’s still time for it to rise again in the future. Ethereum remains a worthwhile long-term investment.

There is no denying that things have been a bit different. Since the 2025 bull run, the expected price action hasn't happened. In fact, ETH's price movement was quite sluggish back then compared to other top coins. and its movement hasn't been particularly significant this year either. But, fortunately, it is still holding its ground. and the potential remains. It ultimately comes down to a few factors that will determine whether it can rise up and skyrocket or not.
