Today I'm announcing a Mempool.space mirror for Bitcointalk users, created by BitMixList.

This particular mirror is based on v3.3.1 [9332d9db], and only branding changes have been made. Otherwise, it's identical to the main site.

It is based on Fulcrum, however it is slightly slow for very large addresses with thousands of transactions in them. So I plan to upgrade it to the mempool/electrs backend as soon as my larger SSD upgrades arrive.

Use it now: mempool.bitmixlist.org

Or use the API: https://mempool.bitmixlist.org/docs/api/rest

This thread will serve as the place for discussion about this particular Mempool mirror, and for Mempool.space and block explorers in general.

The api documentation is basically the same as mempool.space, right? The endpoints and parameters are identical, with only the base url being different?
I'm currently using the mempool.space api, so i'll give this one a try instead. Thanks for sharing this!

I think it has no difference from the traditional mempool.space

The difference is you know the owner is a bitcointalk member so you can get help or suggest improvements fast in this topic or sending a private message Grin

I don't know if it's just me but mempool.space (clearnet) has been unreliable lately and most of the time it's just loads too slow or completely off. You can also try it out and see if it loads.
I even had to create a thread about it some time back. Sadly even https://mempool.orangefren.com/ by orangefren.com is down.

This now leaves only https://mempool.emzy.de and the one announced today in the OP. So it's a good initiative.

Yes precisely.

I built this because mempool.space sometimes has filtering problems with my ISP.

My host is still waiting on those 8TB NVMe SSDs to arrive, and I still need to find out how long the replacement is going to take (I ordered small drives) so that I can provide an appropriate maintenance window for replacing Fulcrum with mempool/electrs.

I don't expect you host it on best hardware out there, so is there any limit that you set or people should adhere?

I can't even image the cost of the SSDs alone. If you don't mind, how much RAM you allocate for mempool.space?

None yet. Just be nice, and don't DDoS my endpoint Smiley

64GB max goes to Mempool.space. That's about half of the RAM that's available on this box.

SSDs will cost me $200 now as a setup fee and add another $200/month to my bill.

Really trying to get Talksearch onto this machine as well ASAP, as well as some other projects I'm working on.

Yes precisely.

I built this because mempool.space sometimes has filtering problems with my ISP.
So the solution to an ISP issue was... "Fine, i'll make my own mempool.space."  Grin Didn't expect that plot twist. Respect for actually pulling it off.

Congratulations NotATether for launching this service.

I know that maintaining a server with the necessary resources to run this type of project isn't cheap. You're making a good investment in all of this.

Keep up the good work.

Actually i don't need any API to get blockchain data, since i run my full node. But i recommend to to add some limit/protection, because some people and bot out there aren't nice.

I can't even image the cost of the SSDs alone. If you don't mind, how much RAM you allocate for mempool.space?

For your own personal (?) project, it's rather pricey. I both admire you and think you're "crazy", considering today's computer part price.

Is it really personal anymore if Bitcointalk using it? Wink

Besides, these are warehouse deals. I got most of the parts for dirt-cheap except for the disks.

I want to move everything off of Google Cloud. I'd rather have more expensive unmanaged hardware which I control, than a bunch of services that rely on debit cards being topped up to stay online. Google has been friendly to me so far, but all it takes is one decision at the top for them to become like AWS and start kicking off customers they don't like.

Plus, a DDoS attack on Google's hardware can make for me a very unpleasant bill, far more than what I am paying for these two servers a month. It's called billing DDoS.

But the servers are yours and are located in a specialized company
Or do you have the server in your home?

They're in two different data centers ran by different companies and I purchased DDoS protection for both of them.
