BitMixList Mempool is now using the more powerful mempool Electrs.

This allows you to do transaction lookups with thousands of addresses in just seconds, however a handful of address like Satoshidice (1.6M transactions), Binance (800k txs), and dust accumulators (one of which is over 3M txs large!) will still break down on this mirror. They also break down on the main mempool.space site by the way.

There is one optimization I have been thinking of. Since I already have the bull of historical address data, courtesy of @LoyceV, I can possibly preprocess the transactions for large addresses and just save the response data onto the disk directly as cache.

I need to gather the newer Blockchain dumps though, so that will take a while.

I now find myself relying more and more on this mirror. It loads quite quick on whatever browser I use or even with VPNs, something with was a challenge with the mempool.space main website some weeks back. I have no clear Idea what happened to the main site on my end, but it's now completely inaccessible with VPN or no VPN. So I guess this is going to be the savior.

I got so obsessed with the explorer to an extent that I don't even think about using the other alternatives  Grin

Yeah... At noon today I was doing some troubleshooting to figure out why the large addresses wouldn't load.

You probably ran this while I was tinkering stuff. (Well, while AI was tinkering stuff for me. I was at a Pizza Hut Smiley)

It works on my mirror now.

~40k tx addresses now load in about 5 seconds without caching.

II think this happens occasionally with those that have been viewed by many people(?); I noticed that this txid: da225c8836e8c46e7ad99578f589225079ffd1ed7e01856f2753fb2fa94abf84 failed to load in the original mempool and the other 2 mempool mirrors, and it also failed on other devices and in other browser apps. I’m not sure if this is an ISP issue.

Quote from: error message
Transaction not found.
Waiting for it to appear in the mempool...

Good guess but it's not the same as da225c88--'s case.
That one was already dropped by almost all of the Bitcoin nodes because its replaced by df96f2f8-- by spending its input.
(refer to your referenced topic for the complete txid)

The reason da225c88... is not working now is because mempool.space only keeps conflicted txns a few days at most.
Mempool.space already removed it from their database so it can't find it now.

It still doesn't load properly, but the error message is a bit shorter:

It is definitely working now:

Because of some hardening I've done to the server to prevent RCEs from reaching services outside of the mempool, the connection between mempool and bitcoind was inadvertently broken.

I think it has no difference from the traditional mempool.space

The difference is you know the owner is a bitcointalk member so you can get help or suggest improvements fast in this topic or sending a private message Grin
And maybe there is also another difference here that the traditional mempool.space many people cannot access it through the internet providers they use. For example, if I currently want to access the mempool.space website in my country, I either have to use the Tor browser or use a VPN, which is extra annoying. I think this mirror website will be very useful for many people like me.

Anyway thank to NotATether, I loved this policy "First find a solution to your own problem and then share it with others."

I think this mirror website will be very useful for many people like me.

There is also one critical difference with this mirror - this mempool is behind Cloudflare, so while DDoS attacks are largely mitigated by this, this will also most likely break the API. At any rate, it's definitely possible for me to write a few rules that will allow API users to bypass Cloudflare, but I need to figure them out first.

The host itself has Layer 3/4 DDoS protection, so even with Cloudflare turned off, the host should not suffer too much.

The API is working now, for anyone interested in that.

Now there is no Cloudflare blocking for the API endpoints.

I am pleased to announce that I am now running Tor and I2P versions of the mempool.

Onion: http://mempool6xjj67yzf55s2mdhhhuabxqfejfm5eh7ikxuxtmef2o5hkdyd.onion/

I2P: http://mempoolhsdlztlgq5h3phk7ifovypsxsw2puly2mkqg6ulowlypa.b32.i2p/

I am now hosting a public Electrum server using the Mempool Electrs. Look for electrum.bitmixlist.org:50002:s in your servers list.
