🎮 Durak Crypto | Is TRC20 (Tron) Becoming Too Expensive for Gambling Platforms? 🤔

👋 Hi everyone!

I'd like to start a discussion about something we've recently run into.

We're building Durak Crypto — an online multiplayer card game where players compete against each other for USDT. Since our users deposit and withdraw quite frequently, keeping transaction fees low and predictable matters a lot. Over the past week, TRC20 (Tron) hasn't been as cheap as it used to be — and one incident in particular made the case for us.

📊 A Real Example

Our payment flow is pretty standard for most gambling platforms:

• A user deposits USDT to their personal TRON deposit address.
• Funds are automatically swept to our hot wallet.
• When a user requests a withdrawal, payment goes out from the hot wallet.

Here's what happened on one withdrawal:

• Sweeping the deposit to the hot wallet: ~13 TRX
  
• Sending the withdrawal: ~13 TRX
  

Total network fees: ≈26 TRX (~$8.30) — to move 18.5 USDT.

😐 Where It Got Worse

At the moment of that withdrawal, our hot wallet only had 8.1 TRX available. Tron consumed all of it, but the transaction still failed — not enough Energy to complete it.

• ❌ 8.1 TRX spent on fees, permanently
• ❌ Withdrawal didn't go through at that moment
• ✅ We topped up the wallet and processed it manually shortly after
• ❌ The fee loss stayed with the platform

For a platform still early and without deep margins, fees at this level can make small withdrawals genuinely uneconomical to process.

⚖️ TON, for Comparison

We tested the same operation on TON. Fee: ≈0.05 TON (~$0.07) — roughly 60x cheaper, and noticeably more predictable than what we've been seeing on Tron lately.

🚀 What We're Doing About It

We're integrating TON as an additional deposit/withdrawal network. TRC20 stays available — users choose whichever they prefer. BSC (BEP20) is next after that.

Tron fees started to increase their fee around 2 years ago IIRC. I stop using this blockchain after they surpassed ERC20 fees which is already ridiculous for a shit blockchain that monopolizes by Justin Sun companies.

BSC or even ERC20 already cheaper and faster alternatives. I wonder if you are truly involved on casino industry since you will notice this immediately long time ago and not now.

Everything is ridiculous on Tron nowadays. I think this topic should be move on altcoin discussion.

Fair point, and to be upfront about it — this is my first time in the casino industry. I'm the developer and owner of the platform, only recently launched it into production, and this fee issue is something I ran into along the way rather than something I'd already dealt with before.

Planning to ship the TON network update in the next few days, and after that I'll start working on BSC — the goal is to eventually move away from Tron entirely.

It has been a while since the last time I used USDT on Tron in order to transfer value, I have mostly keep myself within the Bitcoin Ecosystem, so I am not aware of the increasing fees within the Blockchain of Tron...

On the other hand, I have indeed read about how efficient GRAM (TON) is when compared to other blockchains, both in terms of time of transaction and also in fees. So it makes sense to me your casino decided to give support to GRAM, in order to save money on fees and keep instant withdrawals available for your gamblers.

Actually, I have considered to invest myself in GRAM, but I don't have much money to spare.

If you're still caring with your user, then the better to sunsetting your tron USDT deposit in your platform, then replace it with a new one like BSC, Base or something else. Tron fees is just getting crazy, and it's never going down. It makes no sense for a gambler to be charged 5$ - 8$ just for deposit or withdrawal.
This blockchain is not worthy anymore to be used for the stable coin tx. Even the chart is showing the fees is steadily moving up without even moving down. The only dumb casino site that forces their users to use tron blockchain for deposit and withdrawal.

Fair point, and honestly this matches what I've been seeing. Up until now I was only charging users $1.5 for TRC20 deposits/withdrawals and absorbing the rest of the network fee myself — but with fees at this level, that's clearly not sustainable long-term.

TON is already live on the platform now. Starting BSC integration on Monday, and once that's in production I'll be shutting Tron down entirely.

On the scam concern — fair thing to ask given how new the account/thread is. All I can offer is what's verifiable: the site is live, you can visit it, try the demo, and check the withdrawal proof I posted earlier in the thread. I'm not going to convince anyone with words alone, and I wouldn't expect anyone to trust it just because I say so.

On TON — glad the reasoning made sense. It really did come down to fees and settlement speed once Tron started getting expensive, and TON's integration with Telegram made it a natural fit given how many of our players come in through the Mini App.

You are not missing anything. The site domain was created just last month. The second is that no promotion or advertisement and it is very new.

Promotions and advertisements do not guarantee that a service is not a scam, but it can help to some extent.

Anyone that like the site can try with the money that is very small which they can afford to lose. After good reviews from members, I will delete the post.

Do you noticed I did not give him a negative feedback. If I noticed very well that the service is a scam, I would have done that.
