According to https://cointelegraph.com/news/senate-government-agency-donald-trump-cryptocurrency-ventures?utm_campaign=rss_partner_inbound&utm_medium=rss&utm_source=rss_feed senate minority leader Chukwueze Schumer is pushing for a bill that will allow for the investigation of corrupt practices by anyone.

After reading this article I can deduct that the Crypto earnings of Donald Trump in 2025 in which he admitted that he and his family has made gains in excess of $2 billion .

For me it is actually worth investigating and a significant reason is because this earning could be linked to his position as the president of US

I don't know why I'm feeling jealousy about this your objection because I know that there're billionaire's out there in the stock market that doesn't have to be questioned about this scacism.
Donald Trump had also made much more monies during his first tenure as the US President. We know and the world knows that he was also a potential enthusiast to bitcoin and crypto at large.
My conclusion is that it's not worth  investing him only because him and his family had made huge profits from their bitcoin investment.
He can be investigated for other reasons while such uncalled ful one could even be taunting it that bitcoin is truly an easy avenue for scammers to hide.

Trump is the president of the United States and a business man before becoming president, that said we must have the forseen his ability to directly or indirectly influence his profits in crypto which can either be legal or illegal, but the question is, will his current political position as the president dispose him to such investigations while in office, and also the the fact that any allegations of corruption practices should be backed with evidence to prove wether Trump profits is product of corruption and should be investigated, let not depend on just allegations, and speculations there must be evidence to back those claims.

Looking at the story of Donald Trump, he is already made, and one among the wealthy people in United States of America, like you said, Donald Trump is already rich, has many companies , and investment generating him money, and besides he must be covered by the power of immunity as the US seating president.
More also, from research, Donald Trump is among the top bitcoin holders, and who knows if he has sold some of his bitcoins to take profit.
However, investigating corrupt practices, and setting up such bill is very necessary to keep sanity in the US financial system, and this investigations should not be centered on a particular person, but should take place in all sectors, and including both past, and present federal government office holders.

I'm not an American, but aren't there enough regulatory bodies that deal with corruption at the federal level already? I know of the FBI, the US Office of Government Ethics, the IRS Criminal Investigation, the DOJ and even the SEC all have jurisdiction in cases like this, so if all these people are not able to investigate the president for all the corruption allegations, what will a new agency be able to do? This shows a lack of faith or trust in the current system because a country like the US has enough agencies to deal with any problem in any part of its system.

I doubt the bill will even be passed because it would require Republicans to sign off on it in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, which I doubt, considering that they are the majority. And, as the article says, without a two-thirds vote, Trump can refuse to sign it, too.

Don't expect any investigation scrutinizing his manipulation in different markets on his regime. At first, we've cheered for him and I guess some American forum members did liked him when he's still on the campaign period. Telling things about bitcoin and how he's open for that. Little did we know, he really liked bitcoin and the crypto market as a whole because it became a family business including his son who earned a lot with his manipulation. It made headlines that his sons earned tens of millions, easy money thanks to pops and that's an advantage of being a nepo.

For me I think this is a reasonable bill, allegations of using political positions for profits is worth investigating and this is not only about Donald Trump.
It is actually not a coincidence that the president of the US is making these profits from Cryptocurrency now that he is in position and even with other matter like the brother to his son in law being regarded as the lead investor to the outrageous proposal by FIFA to sell world commercial stakes.

Trump has already invested in some of these crypto assets even before becoming a president, he has been a billionaire businessman before politics. however the bill will help to enhance the critical checking of crypto assets if it is being linked through corruption and to also check the gains that were made if it was properly from investment of previous years. At the level of President Trump, most of his investment whether within America or offshore are well-known to the public bureau, this is because before you become a president most of your assets will be declared, and if any profit is being made over the years, it will be seen by all. What I see on this article is more like a smear campaign against the crypto assets of President Trump, more like the Bill is targeted towards executive ownership of some assets.

Why are we acting like we don't know this is US politics? This happens everywhere and this is just one of the ways politicians lend their voices to attack the majority party. Look at it, the bill was supported by Democrats, the Republicans didn't give any vote for it and you think this is going to be pass? Anyone can create bill but not every bill is going to be pass, this one is going to be trash and I'm sure if it's Democrats that ruling, no senator will write this epic story as Bill.

There are some immunity president's do get, I don't think lawmakers are going to let their president down, not even the judiciary or whatever. He appoints the high people at the top, so it's normal that e even if this bill is passed, they will not work with. Let's be honest, politicians don't care about the masses, this move is to attack him, it may be for the good but this is political card.
