I wish everyone out there who gambles, understand that it is more or less a fun activity than a job, but not everyone sees it that way because they might have heard good stories of some lucky few who made good amount from gambling and these lots believe they too can attain such win and that's why they spend much money and time trying their luck while making the gambling platform more wealthy.

Even food if eaten in excess is called gluttony and one can even die from it, so why should gambling activities that's meant to be for fun not done with respect and discipline? Or why should the outcome of over gambling be any different?

Those who made the best luck never tried too hard even if they failed many times, but those die hard gamblers try too hard, and that's why they lose much more than win and get addicted in the process and then generalize it to say 'gambling is bad or evil'.

I go through topics and replies, some just talk of gambling like it's some type of awful activity and shouldn't be done by people.
But that's actually wrong. Gambling is not bad, I wouldn't say it's good as well, it's literally just an activity and it completely okay for someone to gamble as long as your above age 18.

What's actually wrong is the approach people use to gamble, it has been advised a lot of times that gambling shouldn't be taken to seriously, don't expect gambling to be a side hustle or a source of income. If you do such then you are the one with the problem, gambling is not the problem, it you that is.
Just like driving a car, if you choose to drive recklessly and you get an accident, you are the cause.

So instead of saying gambling is bad (which is not) it's better to advise more on how to stay on the purpose of gambling have fun, the risk involved is just like normal expenses, like paying to play a video game of something similar.
If you need some money, you shouldn't gamble for it. After all mathematically your going to loose in a long run, so what's the use of you imagining some unrealistic wins.

Gambling is not entirely bad. One major reason why some people regret gambling is when they have abused gambling, and become very irresponsible gamblers. If you are able to control yourself, possibly gamble responsibly with controlled bankroll, you won't regret gambling.

Some people have been gambling for a very long time now and they’ve never come out to complain about gambling and they keep up doing it irrespective of the result they get from it. These kind of people are playing safe and not allowing the game get into them, making unnecessary financial mistakes that will cost them their money.

Gambling is very addictive if you don’t know how to control it from onset. This has been the problem with most people and why they end up seeing gambling differently and blaming it for what it is not to be blamed for. Gamble for entertainment and you’ll never come to complain about gambling this or that. Societal damage is real, but it is the consequence of the sum of individual damage on thousands or millions of people worldwide, if those gamblers recognized they are not ready to accept losses and move on, then gambling addiction/problem gambling would not be as common and casinos and bookies would not be perceived as a something negative, but rather neutral in societal terms.

Actually gambling is bad for those person who don't have the control on their emotion and also don't have the proper strategy or money management when they go for gambling.

Since the whole gambling isn’t bad but the method in which one approaches gambling is what’s bad isn’t working then I think it would be okay to use “gambling is bad” as long as it is able to get people to be more careful and approach it with more caution.

This forum, especially this board, is filled with comments which hold different stands about gambling. Those from the people who have ruined their lives through gambling will always be negative, while those who understand it will be natural and advise people based on what they understand about gambling.

Advice on how to be a safer gambler and not gamble aggressively is also filled in this forum under 'how to avoid'. being an addicted gambler and some look alike topics, this is not new and it will also not get too old.

Gamble didn't force anyone to participate in it, in fact it was just on it's own before any better made deposit and started playing. Most people are drawn to gamble due to their greed and laziness or should I say impatient to follow the right part in other to put food on their table, and so something that was designed as a game for people to clear their heads became an easy money opportunity for most people.

Gambling is good for me, especially when done responsibly. If a person has a specific budget which they use in gambling and are disciplined never to go beyond it, then they can enjoy gambling. It helps someone relax their brain and relieve it of pressing burdens. I use gambling for recreational purposes and it's been working for me.

Gambling on it's own is neutral, your disposition towards it makes it good or bad for you and not in itself. You have said yours very interestingly but someone from the other end is sighting reasons why gambling is bad.
Gambling is also not for everyone as we always says does not prioritize on the age limit, it is more of expressing that if you can not control your emotions or lost control as a responsible bettor which you don't have to regret your decision and it is not dominating your interest to the point of becoming victims to addiction, then you are good to go but in the situation where you are gambling with negative effects, then it is not good for you.

So it is not about the age requirement to be eligible in betting, your code of conduct which determines your responsibilities is also regarded.
Note that the casinos won't help your misconduct but you will help yourself. Even elders falls to the victim, not just those below 18.

The issue here is that due to the reckless driving of a drunk driver, we are blaming the car instead of the driver. In the case of gambling, the issue is that we take our loss limit up by gambling uncontrollably, sometimes to a level that is beyond our ability to lose. And the end result is that we become crazy to repeat the same things, which means we are addicted to gambling.
