It is common knowledge that, the environment that one finds himself has a great role to play in the development  and well being of anyone. This is the reality that we are been confronted today, the economy of Many nation's has turned out to be the biggest enemy of her citizens because, the economy of a nation greatly influenced the living conditions of the people living in the country.

A nations economy can make you or kill you most important the younger generation unfulfilling dreams. Because their dreams were not fulfilled and their God given potentials which is inside of them. It should be noted that a struggling economy most importantly the developing countries, kills talent and value instead of adding value to the young population.

I have realized that economic conditions limits opportunities, making people look useless without plan and visions but that is far from the truth in developing countries where the rate of unemployment is high and no level playing ground when it comes to opportunities. Life is considered harsh because proximity to opportunity is defined by connections and most times through bribe.

You see a young man who is a graduate hopelessly roaming around without anything to show for, because he has no standing when it comes to having a good source of income, doing menial jobs just to survive.

Way's that economies limit the young population

High unemployment
When there is high rate of unemployment, there is bound to be problem especially among the young generations that is growing up. Most of them are caught up struggling without any stable source of income, high rate of unemployment limits opportunities for the youths.

Poor Education and skills development
When the younger generation is not well informed and educated with no technical skills to back up there is said to be problems at the end of the day, because such persons will find it hard to finding jobs.

Inflation and Rising cost of living
When the cost of living of a country increase to a point where the price of goods rise fast it affects the living conditions of the young population.making things more difficult for the younger generation.

Low Wages
One thing that is common to developing countries is poor wages, this greatly affects the living conditions of the younger generations as they can't meet up with the responsibility of the economic situation of the day.

Brain Drain
Youths who are talented and skilled in their chosen professionals may look for where the grass is green and decide to travel abroad. A typical example of the mass movement of immigrants to Europe and the America from nations that their economy is struggling.

Social problems.
It is an established fact that a struggling economy contributes to crime rate , this is because man just has to survive so he can do anything possible to put food on his table including crime.


In conclusion it should be noted that a healthy economy is one that is characterized by supporting Entrepreneurship and job creation, a good education system and most importantly reward for hard work.

This modern time and way of living has becoming a thing of more concern recently. A trend is going on now that I saw that been consistent will take you 10 years to achieve what you aimed for, having connection will take you a week to reach that height, but the ultimate of it is grace, which will only take you 2 seconds for you to achieve what you are aiming for.

Two of this has nothing to do with the economy, whether it is flourishing or not, once you have someone that can stand for you and do the connections, things will be get to done for you irrespective of the hard work you’ve putting through to have come this far. Grace simply is the favour of God being with you but only the luckiest find themselves in this category. Consistency pays but when you have all this together, your path to success becomes very easy and flawless.

I think country macro economy condition only determining the the opportunity but not certainty, economy does not completely determine the fate of individuals, matter of fact in a country with bad economy or good economy confition there are suceess people, survived people and looser people, which meaneconomy surely determines opportunity but we as human determine how we utilized the opportunity.

I saw education as long term investation nnot just producing workers. You're right about that, and that is the more reason why many people prefer skill or business over education. Here in my country there are so many graduate but guess where they are now? They are at home doing nothing, while some decided to engage themselves into side hustle. Only few are lucky to get a good Job and it was not by Thier power but it was trough connection just like you said earlier.

 I keep on advising my friends that they should try and learn at least one or two skills before planning on going into high institution because it will help them during Thier studies and even when they finish with their studies it will still help them, because the country has gotten to the  point where many people don't regard education.

 Many people go with this theory that those graduate out there have they all gotten a job, since they haven't gotten a Job then was the need...But regardless of anything education should not be disregarded rather we likely need to have a skill before looking at education, is just like backup Incase we didn't succeed in this educational aspect we can switch to our skill.

I don’t think it is fair to generalize that the youth have become useless. It really depends on the country and the situation they are living in.

In countries with high inflation and corruption, opportunities are usually limited. Many young people are unemployed or underemployed, and some also grow up with a weak education system. So the problem is not always that they are lazy or useless. Sometimes the system simply gives them very little chance to improve their situation.

Connection is the ultimate way to wealth in the world we live in today. What took someone years to achieve is achievable in minutes if you have the right connection to get you there. In this case, both the government and the youth should take steps. However, it is the responsibility of the government to provide opportunities for the youth to work and develop their talents. Currently, it can be observed in many low-income countries that there is no such match between jobs and education. jobs require a certain type of skill, but the government's education system does not give much importance to that skill development . It's AI that caused this mess. Employers have been laying off the human workforce in exchange for AI. Not only that, but they're also using AI to analyze resumes/job applications and select new hires based on a given algorithm. This leads to more selective hires than ever before.

That's why it's so hard to find a job or even stay on it for a long time. Maybe the future is for people to become entrepreneurs or influencers? That surely pays a lot of money...

No government can possibly accommodate everyone in their country into government jobs, they can create policies that make business possibilities easier and less legal procedures, along with easier way to take loans for new business can do the job but it is only possible to an extent.

It is true that the current wave of AI and automation has wiped out many lower level jobs. I heard the other day, coincidentally, that the more civilisation advances, the more advanced the population tends to sterility, and it was not referring to the biological inability to have children, but to a more circumstantial sterility, that of those who choose not to have them, being able, so as not to sacrifice quality of life or whatever. It is a little related to what you were talking about the ageing of the population. Of course, there are different scenarios in the different territories of the world depending on different causes, but I think that in developed countries the trend is clear and unquestionable.

The youths of your country have to learn from the youths of others countries because things aren't happening badly the same way it's happening in your county as others are progressing while yours is falling. The youths needs to take their future into their own hands and try makings things work for them instead of depending on the government or the economy to bail them out always.

The government also has a role to play as making laws that favour building and entrepreneurship helps in a long way to make the youths develop in building their mindset instead of depending on the government as they do before. 

Most economy are going downwards and that's because population is getting out of control but if that gets addressed then we might've begin to get things back in place although, innovations has to keep improving for we to survive as a nation.

Nice article OP, however I will choose to disagree with your last paragraph, there is no justification for crime, there are lots of people that have gone through harsh economic realities, but choose not to go into crime. There are ways to confront harsh economy, you can learn a trade, you can learn a skill, at least with that you can use it to earn a living. but hence you've decided to go into criminality, then no reason is justifiable enough.

 If the leadership of the country have decided not to create meaningful employment opportunities for the youths of a country, then it's justifiable enough for the youths to stand up to their leader's and say enough is enough, freedom they say is not voluntarily given, it is sometimes taken. A lot of changes happened from the earlier generation to the current generation. We can say that both have positive and negative changes over time. And you are right, those things you've listed are one of the factors affecting the current youth and probably the future generation. That is why there's a saying in our country from our hero "The youth are the hope of the nation".

In my country, a lot of younger generation have already opened their eyes and see how corrupted the government can be. And once the youth have opened their eyes, they'll be the one who will initiate and fight for what is right.
