The definitely Moroccan migrants crossed over to Ceuta and Melilla in Spain.

Do you know that Ceuta and Melilla are in Morocco and not Spain but Spain took over the lands and called it their own? I think Italy and those EU countries did not know that or probably they know.

That kind of migration is suspicious, I think Moroccans might want the world to know about Ceuta or Melilla which Spain claimed are theirs but located in Africa and not Europe.

This news also captivated my attention and I was just about posting here before discovering that it has already been taken to the forum.

It is a pity that a number of people have died already and about 67 recorded as victims, that's been said, let's look at the critical situation that will arrant for such a massive migration of Moroccans to Ceuta, before we could go further I would like us to read a background history on this region.

Now let's look at the situation on ground and apply our own individual view towards this, over a long period of time, it was initially known that Ceuta is under Morocco, but as we speak, this region is considered being under the control of Spain, we can look at it geographically as that was the reason why I tried to show the mapping for each country and where Ceuta is sited.

Maybe it is high time the Moroccans are realizing the needed to reclaim back their taken territory over ages, another thing to point out at is the fact that they are not settling for Ceuta alone, but using the avenue to enter into Spain.

Ceuta is not in Spain but Ceuta is a Spanish owned territory and they did not become a Spanish owned territory just yesterday the world knows about this and it's not new, countries like France, Netherlands and others have territories that aren't in their country so the migration of these people wasn't what created this publicity.
The reason why many EU countries are angry with Spain is the fact that this can happen and countries close to Spain are actually very worried.
I think the Spanish government will handle this harshly and may break so many of their protocols and laws just to see that they can send back as many people as possible.

Why are the Africans not having such territory in Spain? Do you know that Morocco see it as unlawful and see Ceuta and Melilla as their own territory?

Although all the countries have their own bad sides. If you read about the history of Western Sahara, you will not be on the side of Morocco. Ones they can dominate another people, they will say they are the owner of what does not belong to them is how the world was in the past and in some areas today.

Whole this story in many places is taken out of conext like all these migrants flood into continental Spain and Europe when many people don't even know that Ceuta is Spanish exclave in North Africa.
I don't know all details of this crisis, but considering that all these people arrived from Morocco, biggest part of responsibility lies on Morocco. Only question whether it was done intentionally or not.

Italy and other EU nations are aware that Ceuta and Melilla are not in mainland Spain. They want to take safety measures because these Moroccans could seek for ways to enter other EU countries illegally.

There have been several claims concerning the reason for this mass migration. But my observation is that the Moroccan government is behind it. The Moroccan government is unhappy with the growing relationship between Spain and Algeria. Morocco and Algeria have a strained relationship. Ramat used this invasion as a warning shot to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. The same thing happened in 2021 when Morocco opened the borders because Spain received a Sahrawi independence leader. 

Others claim that it was a Supreme Court judgement in Spain that triggered this flow. But the truth is that Moroccan law enforcement agencies could have stopped them. Allowing about 60,000 people to leave the country within 48 hours shows that the government is involved.

I've also read the same thing when this news popped on my phone. I guess that there's a long history about the territory dispute in there. As for the reason of why this had happened is due to poverty and that's why illegal migrants push through the borders and decided to enter Ceuta.

Meanwhile, Republican and Congressman Thomas Massie an insider in the United States has said something else about it.  You can look it up on his twitter handle where he wrote how the house passed a bill for the go ahead and transfer of those Moroccan's in the Spanish territory. He also went further to say that Donald's Trump people at the States department encouraged this invasion. Too much about it now, the Moroccan King tiring,  he has decided to fight Spain because of their stance and support of the Palestinian people.

I also don't understand why a country should go into a territory of another country to (claim) have an "enclave" in a democracy, I can understand if the owner of the enclaved territory is their colony but as far as I know Morocco is an independent country. Although I don't know the full story behind this Ceuta, enclave whether it's a disputed area or not. From what I'm reading in this thread I think that perhaps Moroccan officials allowed their citizens to enter the Ceuta, enclave as way to occupy it so the world will know that it is their territory.

I was thinking that the mass exodus was a result of migrants from Africa, who were looking for an opening to cross into Europe in search of better life and they got information that there is an opening in that community for them to gain access into Europe. I've heard a lot of stories about how migrants from different underdeveloped countries cross from Morocco to Spain before spreading to other destinations in Europe for a better life for them and their families.

During the era of European colonial rule before countries started gaining independence, Africa was the first continent where forts and trading posts were established along the coast in the late 15th–16th centuries. Portugal and Spain began colonizing most countries in Africa and extended their reach to the Americas.

After this establishment, they claimed most lands as their own, including Ceuta and Melilla. Even after the Moroccans gain independent from Spanish colonial rule on 2 March 1956, Ceuta and Melilla were regarded as part of Spain.

Africans did not have such territories because they weren't in a position to be under colonial rule. They were the ones who were ruled over.
