BTC Sentiment Poll for August

I think the bear market will continue in August. While there isn't a panic atmosphere, anxiety is increasing.
This month will be sluggish. Any rise would be very unexpected, although such unexpected rises can happen. Let's see, it's only the beginning of the month, there are many days left. If I were to say anything now, it will be a sluggish month.

I didn't vote in the poll because I think August is going to be basically just as boring as the last few months. The closest option would have been “nothing,” but the options that follow in the poll don't apply to me. It looks like we'll be hovering in the $58K–$70K range at most, and maybe even less than that—between $60K and $65K.

For my PERSONAL sentiment, I'm a permabull, is "Some HOPE it could pump". BUT there's also another sentiment deep inside of me that believes Bitcoin is merely waiting for another reason to CRASH under $60,000 which CREATES another Golden Opportunity for PLEBS like US.

October/November might complete the current Bear Cycle if the Four-Year-Cycle is still intact.

That's fine.  I guess in the next sentiment poll I'm gonna add "nothing but still holding".

And as for the ranges you're saying, yeah...  I tend to agree.  It could be a boring market from here on out for a couple of months or so.

While there might be a slight surge, it's only temporary and doesn't signal an uptrend. So, I don't have any expectations for the market this month.

It is reasonable to think that Bitcoin might just be waiting for a catalyst to break the support level, considering that since last month it has been testing the support area multiple times. At the opening of this month, I don't see any significant changes. Historically, August is not a good month for Bitcoin, so are we about to see that "reason" this month or just another flat month?
Well, pretty sure a lot of people are also expecting and getting ready for that crash to happen anytime this year.

Bitcoin summer will turn out like this because the conditions are not very good at the moment, due to which Bitcoin will have to put pressure on Bitcoin to get out of its grip and it will be quite difficult. But still we can see the price of Bitcoin near or above $ 70k in the month of August. Bitcoin has not weakened that much and there is still a whole month left in which the price of Bitcoin can improve depending on different situations. If some Whales invest, we can see a good difference in the price of Bitcoin and this is if it is a whole month, that is, if good investments are made every week and when Bitcoin's bearishness opens, the price will only go up. I do not think it is temporary, when the price increases in this month, that price will remain there for some time. But we want to think positively about Bitcoin so that Bitcoin focuses on the upside.

We should be expecting August to the continuation of July and we should not expect anything special from this month Bitcoin sentiment. Peice has been showing us that this is a bear market and any shaor pump in the price of Bitcoin is for a short period and it's not gonna last at all. I could remember when the price of Bitcoin quickly pumped and some investors never knew that it was because of the news that made so many people to buy Bitcoin including the whales and big investment companies accumulating Bitcoin.

Well, pretty sure a lot of people are also expecting and getting ready for that crash to happen anytime this year.

People are caught by Black Swans because we don't see "significant changes". I'm confident many pleb-traders will lose money if a Black Swan catches us. BUT if you're a HODLer, BTC1 = BTC1.

In fact, during a Black Swan "surprise" - we should, Buy the DIP, and HODL. We may never have another opportunity to buy Bitcoin below $50,000 again.

July we had mostly some guys who were hopeful for a pump but seeing how weak the month closed, let's see if everybody feels the same or not.

I've posted it already in the past, and I will do it again. That's the current month-to-date performance of Bitcoin when we are in a bear market. 2014, 2018 and 2022 are the bear market years, and in those 3 years, Bitcoin ended the month on a red candle.

Of course, there's still a possibility that this will not happen anymore. Let's not forget that past performance doesn't mean future performance as well. Like what I always say, there's a chance that we might see a different August for some reasons. As for my prediction though, I'm leaning towards the fact that we still end this month on a red candle, but hey. Anything is possible. A tweet from Trump could change the price movement of Bitcoin. A positive news from the Iran-US war could change everything.

That means throughout this month it might still be like last month, moving sideways. Actually, there's also a chance the price could drop again, even below $60k. But I'm not really sure that will happen. Because there's a possibility of another drop making the price go down further, I think it's due to institutions changing their pattern from buying to selling. 
Now the price is already down, I think this month will be better, even if it doesn't reach $100k. Hopefully, this month it can close with Bitcoin at $65k-$70k.

The month of August did started of on a Bullish candle and since then it has remained Bullish with the monthly candle, although we have on the daily, weekly and other lower time frames becoming both bullish and bearish at some point but then the price has still been proceeding in the bullish direction, the price has moved from $62k to $63k so the total bias for the month now does looks bullish, so for the month of August, i am anticipating more of a bullish move then bearish moves.

But for the short term a bearish speculation is more likely on hourly time frames, which for scalpers i will suggest the trade in that bias, but for daily traders, looking for buy opportunities will most likely be the best trend to trade in for the early part of the month of August except it does other wise in the later parts of August.

It is expected that we begin to see a market pump by now, but due to the recent cold card scam experience, the market decided take another turn and go bearish, even though there is still more possibility of seeing it going bullish anytime from now, because some of these breaking news are only a short time reaction on bitcoin market without having a long time effect, but as we speak, there is an uptrend from the market performance if you check on the candles.

There are just too many FUD in the market at the moment especially with the quantum threat and even the Coldcard theft, so the sentiment is extremely bullish at the moment so the best we can see this month is consolidation else we will see serious drop in price. If some people public talking about dumping their bitcoin go ahead with that plan, then we will see sharp drops in price which may last till the end of this quarter. If there will be any gains, it is definitely not now so I'm still tilting towards bearish market.

Patience I would vote for if I could, the magic ingredient in every well baked cake     The graph to me is interesting, take that last bar there doesnt have to be green but it is.  The main point is to get a ruler and draw a horizontal line across the chart at the bottom of this last bar and how often does it slot into prior BTC price action.   If it conflicts its not so important but a common price often seen and closed at previous is support and thats likely what we saw.

Lows or the base of that green bar aligns long term for BTC.   We can see BTC moving upwards having respected support across years, its a positive position to start from like pushing against the wall when your swimming it could turn out well or at least better then normal or expected.  Market sentiment may be slow to recognize but I'd be looking for improvement till disproven.

It appears that there is another occurrence that might cause the market bottom besides my speculation that Michael Sellor might cause this. This is the failure of the passage of the Clarity act!

It also appears that the failure of passage is almost a certainty. According to Polymarket the chance of this bill passing and sent to the desk of the Donald for signing is only 23%. I have voted that I am having anxiety heheheh.



Wall Street broker Bernstein said failure to pass the Clarity Act this year would likely trigger another selloff in crypto markets, but argued U.S. regulators would respond by accelerating rulemaking to provide greater regulatory certainty for the industry.

The broker said in a note on Monday that prospects of the legislation passing have deteriorated as the Senate runs out of time before recess despite resolving contentious issues including stablecoin yield rules.

This first week shows there is hope that it will boost the results, as indicated by the question in the second OP poll. That’s about a 1% increase based on July’s trends.
This August, there likely won’t be much to disappoint people regarding price changes, and I estimate that this month—after reviewing the monthly return data—the market will remain in the green, though not as high or as significant as last August’s 5.16% return; at the very least, it won’t repeat the negative monthly return of 3.12% seen in August 2022.

That is true; a price drop is very likely. Plus, historically speaking, August has been a very droping month when it comes to bear years, both in 2018 and in 2022 as well. So I would assume that the same will happen this month as well. The first stop I am expecting to see this month would be under 60k; we are still above it, and I think we will get there. But if you wait long enough, there is a serious and real possibility that we are going to see under 55k happen as well.

These are drops that could happen overnight, like in a day; suddenly it crashes after some chain reaction from some big sales, or it could be slow as well. In any case, it will be under 60k by the end of August; I am sure of that. I can't promise anything to anyone, because I could be wrong and I would not want you to make a move on my behalf, but I am doing it myself because I actually do believe that this will happen. I am out right now, and I am waiting before I can get back in. I will get back in if I see 50k.

If this month is indeed one that's not favorable for us in investing, I think it's better to accumulate to increase the amount of investment that becomes our assets for the future. Because in the past few months, and not necessarily August, market conditions have remained very stable at $60,000 and above, and there hasn't been any movement to exceed $70,000.

So, it is very possible for us to wait for market conditions to move higher by simply accumulating Bitcoin as our activity while waiting for market conditions to improve and conditions that are favorable for us in increasing the number of our assets for the next few years.

Currently, we cannot predict future market price conditions, but many are currently very confident that Bitcoin will drop again at the end of this month.
But we will accept whatever happens with market conditions, because for us, buying is part of our basic goal for the next few years, namely having a certain amount of assets for our future. And we do this as part of our savings by increasing the number of Bitcoins that we can collect, so that we don't have high hopes and we will accept what happens with market conditions, whether there is a decrease or an increase.

You are right; the best approach right now is to keep accumulating assets rather than constantly staring at your phone screen, watching charts, and waiting for a "perfect" price point that never arrives. The reality is that we almost always lose to the market—whether in spot or futures trading—largely due to emotions; the end result is consistently a loss, a scenario that seems all too common for everyone, often leading to a setback in one's standing.
