Historically speaking, August tends to be a slaughter month, the reddest of them all, but this time around we see almost no action.
A third of the month has already past and we are +1.31% in green with no dramatic ups or downs. If we carry on like this till the end of the month, it could paradoxically it could be taken as a good sign, i.e. as an indication that we have already reached the bottom and it's a good time to start buying.

I do not believe that the bottom has been reached because September is also a red month going by historical data, what this means is that if the price of bitcoin is unable to make any bullish movement before the end of this month, September might start with the price falling below $60k which will end up creating a new bottom.

I believe Bitcoin is still heavily influenced by its 4 year cycle, but I do not put much faith in historical data based on individual month or quarter. Market is affected by different factor each time, from macroeconomics and investor sentiment to geopolitics. So I think the 4year cycle is more useful as a reference, while monthly or quarterly data is not that reliable.

However, even if we cannot know exactly where the bottom is, with Bitcoin already down around 50% from its ATH. I think this is a great time to start accumulating.

It's a very good analysis. I'm also very optimistic about BTC. For me, the premise is that if the cryptocurrency wars don't cause too much noise in August, the BTC market will gradually rise. It might even surpass the $63-$64k levels, as you mentioned, provided that institutional investment regains confidence. I'd like to see Michael Saylor, instead of selling his BTC, acquire more, because that has a positive impact.

The encouraging news gives many investors confidence, but something needs to be clarified: there can be a lot of good news, but we must wait and see what the BTC market does. If the market moves favorably, then everything will be fine, and those news predictions were indeed correct.

Dollar up a bit and I'm reading possible upset with Yen which is an inverse to Dollar value, with some plan in the works to monetize 1tn of held Japanese held US treasuries.
   While such macro events are up in the air, uncertainty in many parts of the market makes sense.   I presume we have to act like the prior trend continues and BTC price right now is same as July 4th as its been in sideways drift, flat spin or however you view it but lots of nothing much at all for a while now.
  I presume we get more of the same till the record changes and there's a new beat.

I wouldn't say that Saylor or Strategy selling is FUD, Strategy is selling: what happens when the biggest corporate Bitcoin holder turns net seller.

But yes, those kind of negative news specially the Coldcard incident was a non-factor, prices was not immediately impacted by it. It could be that investors are mature enough as they just moved their Bitcoin to a more secure location like a different wallet or even on some exchanges as precautions and then wait till everything is clear to move it out again. So maybe we have reach the bottom price of $57k, but I still be cautious though as we still have the last quarter of this year to see where we are heading in this bear market.

If I’m not mistaken, following the Coldcard incident, there was a noticeable surge in deposits on centralized exchanges, which, in my opinion, indicated an emotional, panic-driven reaction on the part of some BTC holders rather than a rational decision.
As for BTC’s future movement, I personally don’t think that $57k was the definitive bottom of the current bear market. Most likely, the bears still have a few surprises in store for us.

Profit is not the only objective of institutional investors, security of assets also exists. But those investors would never have wanted to buy Bitcoin if they didn't feel confident and secure in it. It is certain that they took this bold step for profit. And speaking of micro strategy, it is normal to sell bitcoins from their holding fund. When the price of Bitcoin starts to rise, Saylor will focus on buying Bitcoin again. However, the strategy will not take any decision that has a huge impact on bitcoin.

As for BTC’s future movement, I personally don’t think that $57k was the definitive bottom of the current bear market. Most likely, the bears still have a few surprises in store for us.

It’s hard to know what will happen next.
But based on history, bottom usually come in the final quarter of a bear year, while we’re only halfway through Q3. So it’s still a bit early to say that Bitcoin has already bottomed.

Another thing is that Bitcoin can sometimes drop without any specific reason or major event. That’s what happened between 11/ 2025 -2/2026, when Bitcoin fell to $60k without any major negative news or event. So don’t assume Bitcoin has bottomed just because it hasn’t dropped in the past few days despite the negative news in the market.

The good thing is that BTC is consolidating in a tight range of around 2 to 3 thousand (from 62K-65K) for around a month or even more, and this means there are whales and institutions that are accumulating this for the long term. A lot of people are wating for 40K bitcoin price to be the bottom of the bear market but i don't think that is going to happen.

BTC has to cross 70K and stay above it for a week or two, and that will confirm bullish momentum in BTC. Below 70K, and we can still visit the lows like 58K or maybe even 56K too.

Apart from historical data, from recent happening, we will likely start the month of September at a lower price than we have now and likely, we can be seeing bitcoin going down to $61k as it entry point into the month of September rather than seeing it starting the next month on a green candle. it is unfortunate that lately, we are seeing more of lows than high. what we can be waiting to see at this point is where we will likely end the year at. if after all this bottom we have seen and bitcoin mange to cross $80k before the end of the year, it will be a good starting point for 2027. as for this year, i don't think there is nothing too special to expect.
