I have been following up the history of Bitcoin and in most cases the market never obeyed the month of August to be bullish and from the update you got above shows that we could still face more market decline in coming days or weeks.
As we know the market is mostly being driven by news and any little slight things gets the market affect especially when it is coming from a cryptocurrency influencer someone who is well known in the space. Their decision also ignite some certain things in the market either to be bull or bearish.

The big sales has finally happened

This was what I first saw, but I did not know it sold bitcoin. I thought it only increased USD reserves and purchased STRC.

Strategy increased its USD Reserve by $250M and repurchased $81M of $STRC. This increased USD Duration by 57 days to 2.3 years and tightened STRC’s BTC Credit by 5 bps. As of 8/2/26, we hold ₿842,138 in our BTC Reserve and $4.0B in our USD Reserve. $MSTR

But I am reading the news now that it has sold 1638 BTC.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/strategy-sells-bitcoin-dividend-strc

It has started selling bitcoin since 27th of July till yesterday.

Right analysis because August already with what is happening around bitcoin market, this 2026 August should be a buy time for all investors, is going to be hard to see bitcoin making and positive market price movement in this month although if some other factors regarding ETFs and other regulations which could bring inflow of money.

But from what it looks right now, most investors are not looking into buying, rather they are on a steady sell approach which percentage is much higher than their buying strength.

I think selling is to give MSTR and STRC investors confidence that they are Saylor’s priority. Of course Saylor is screwed without Bitcoin, his businesses will ultimately fail without it but he has to show they are willing to sell Bitcoin and not just dilute MSTR.

I get why he’s doing it but he is absolutely woeful at timing the market, his Bitcoin stash is in billions of dollars in unrealised losses he buys the top and sells the bottom, retarded.

Luckily for him Bitcoin will save his ass once we enter a bull market.

He sold a small amount of Bitcoin during the Bitcoin market downturn, but STRC ATM distributed dividends on these shares, which forced him to sell Bitcoin at a lower price. Michael Saylor is not stupid, he does not worry about market movements because he continues to invest in Bitcoin consistently.
However, he will be able to achieve maximum benefits when the price of Bitcoin increases, and they are trying hard to increase the Bitcoin holdings of the MSTR company even more. The market will definitely turn around and huge benefits will be achieved, at that time Saylor will just be elated.

Michael Saylor ❌, Michael Seller ✅.  Although it's still Saylor's plan to sell 5b worth BTC, but this guy has lost its commitment to hold his bitcoin, and he proves that how unsustainable his ponzi mechanism is. He acted like a true degen.

I'm not a fan of Saylor and what he's doing, but I'm appreciating him more if he sells than if he just buys no end, because the latter must have a tipping point. You're correct, that's simply unsustainable. And because the option to sell is apparently open, he's not acting like a true degen.

I won't bash him for being a Michael Seller. I'd bash him if he's Michael Non-stop Buyer.
Yeah, at least he knows to sell, though it's due to the situation that forced him because he can no longer to dilute his stock holders to raise fund to buyback his STRC.

Nevehtless If he was a visionary person, he should have sold some when bitcoin at its peak. So he doesn't need to sell his btc at a lose, then build a negative paradigm around people if bitcoin is no longer good asset to hol after he built hype to non-stop bought bitcoin for years.

I think Michael Saylor did not fool anyone (not about your post, read further), he though there would be no bear market again as it happened in the past, although there was a reduced volatility in the market but the bear market still came. If he was not fooling people, he thought bitcoin would have increased more by now. He also still maintains that bitcoin will get to $150000 this year, but which I see as a wrong analysis.

Michael Saylor predicted that bitcoin could reach $180k in the coming months before the end of 2026.
Really??? He must be playing with you guys...lol Grin

Jokes apart, that's highly expensive, but in the end, Saylor is just a human, so he could make mistakes. DYOR!

But just now, an update from CoinTelegraph pointed to a potential $5 billion in crypto sales in the next stage of the company's actions; the question is: what are the games behind this action? Is capital flowing to other sectors like the AI development market, or is this just a normal company financial restructure of liquidity?
If I understand your question correctly, the second fits in better than the first. Strategy has every right to reach out for liquidity/assets at their disposal if ever needed. The amount covers the plan to establish strong USD reserve and pay liabilities and dues, just as we saw recently in dividend payments. To be clear, this goes beyond a single year or period, to warrant so much stress on Bitcoin, but a plan that covers years, which I think is brilliant for the interest of the company, provided we look beyond sentiments.

He sold a small amount of Bitcoin during the Bitcoin market crash and the amount of Bitcoin he sold was 30 but you notice that they sold 1638 Bitcoin in the first week of August and used it to repurchase STRC.

His company has been buying Bitcoin consistently but as far as I know they have stopped buying Bitcoin in the last few weeks and are only selling it slowly. This company was committed that they would not sell Bitcoin, Michael Saylor said today that he said as a saver that you would never sell your Bitcoin, but Strategy is a public company so they can buy or sell this currency for capital management. Anyway as an investor, we should save regularly to accumulate more Bitcoin in our portfolio.

When I say “Never Sell Your Bitcoin,” I speak as one saver to another. I have never sold mine. Not one satoshi. Strategy is a public company, not my wallet. Since 2020, it has disclosed it may buy or sell $BTC to manage capital. Our shared conviction in Bitcoin remains unchanged.

This statement is confusing and has created panic among investors. If strategy keeps selling their bitcoin continuously, there will be more panic among investors. I know that strategy is not stupid for selling their holdings now but it more difficult to understand because as of may it was reported that their average cost per bitcoin was around $75,700 https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2026/05/18/strategy-purchases-nearly-25-000-more-bitcoin-worth-more-than-usd2-billion

With this sell continuing, questions may arise especially among weak investors about how safe it is to continue leaving your bitcoin holdings when whales are selling off just like we're seeing already. This statement clearly says it all that as a bitcoin investor, you're always on your own and shouldn't base your actions on anyone's actions.
