I have been following up the history of Bitcoin and in most cases the market never obeyed the month of August to be bullish and from the update you got above shows that we could still face more market decline in coming days or weeks.
As we know the market is mostly being driven by news and any little slight things gets the market affect especially when it is coming from a cryptocurrency influencer someone who is well known in the space. Their decision also ignite some certain things in the market either to be bull or bearish.

The big sales has finally happened

This was what I first saw, but I did not know it sold bitcoin. I thought it only increased USD reserves and purchased STRC.

Strategy increased its USD Reserve by $250M and repurchased $81M of $STRC. This increased USD Duration by 57 days to 2.3 years and tightened STRC’s BTC Credit by 5 bps. As of 8/2/26, we hold ₿842,138 in our BTC Reserve and $4.0B in our USD Reserve. $MSTR

But I am reading the news now that it has sold 1638 BTC.

Right analysis because August already with what is happening around bitcoin market, this 2026 August should be a buy time for all investors, is going to be hard to see bitcoin making and positive market price movement in this month although if some other factors regarding ETFs and other regulations which could bring inflow of money.


But from what it looks right now, most investors are not looking into buying, rather they are on a steady sell approach which percentage is much higher than their buying strength.

I think selling is to give MSTR and STRC investors confidence that they are Saylor’s priority. Of course Saylor is screwed without Bitcoin, his businesses will ultimately fail without it but he has to show they are willing to sell Bitcoin and not just dilute MSTR.

I get why he’s doing it but he is absolutely woeful at timing the market, his Bitcoin stash is in billions of dollars in unrealised losses he buys the top and sells the bottom, retarded.

Luckily for him Bitcoin will save his ass once we enter a bull market.

Michael Saylor ❌, Michael Seller ✅.  Although it's still Saylor's plan to sell 5b worth BTC, but this guy has lost its commitment to hold his bitcoin, and he proves that how unsustainable his ponzi mechanism is. He acted like a true degen.

I think Michael Saylor did not fool anyone (not about your post, read further), he though there would be no bear market again as it happened in the past, although there was a reduced volatility in the market but the bear market still came. If he was not fooling people, he thought bitcoin would have increased more by now. He also still maintains that bitcoin will get to $150000 this year, but which I see as a wrong analysis.

If I understand your question correctly, the second fits in better than the first. Strategy has every right to reach out for liquidity/assets at their disposal if ever needed. The amount covers the plan to establish strong USD reserve and pay liabilities and dues, just as we saw recently in dividend payments. To be clear, this goes beyond a single year or period, to warrant so much stress on Bitcoin, but a plan that covers years, which I think is brilliant for the interest of the company, provided we look beyond sentiments.

This statement is confusing and has created panic among investors. If strategy keeps selling their bitcoin continuously, there will be more panic among investors. With this sell continuing, questions may arise especially among weak investors about how safe it is to continue leaving your bitcoin holdings when whales are selling off just like we're seeing already. I feel this is pure market manipulation else Michael Saylor will not need to announce their plan to sell a week to the date knowing the amount of sell pressure such announcement can cause. If not that Bitcoin have grown big enough in terms of liquidity and market participants, such news can crash an asset. This is a well known strategy that is being used by institutional investors because they have the money to manipulate the market. No one will really tell you they want to sell before they do unless the news was done intentionally to have an impact on the market so they can come in and buy at lower prices like you said even after they do sell. I do not follow all this news of buying or selling Bitcoin as I know they are all manipulated tactics and I would not fall for them.

This time is a period we have to be very careful of the FUD we hear because people can do anything for the price to fall more now that the market does not have a strong bullish momentum instead everyone is being scared of what is going to happen to the price of Bitcoin due to the ongoing war and other things happening around the world. Instead of listening to what people are saying, it's better to ignore all the FUD and keep on buying more Bitcoin to the best of our capacity.

The current price of Bitcoin is $64,000. For someone who bought a lot at $90,000, the loss would be too great if they sold at $64,000. They can't do that, so they'll have to wait for prices higher than $90,000 to sell. This means they can only sell the Bitcoin they bought when the price was very low, and even then, they can't sell everything to keep as collateral in case the price doesn't reach $90,000 someday. I'm just glad that the market didn't react badly to the news and eventual sell of some of the Strategy stash, I guess that we're now used to Strategy, selling their Bitcoin just like any anybody in distress, use what you have to get what you want, we probably wouldn't have made a big deal out of their selling if not for saylor's former stance of "never sell. This should teach saylor's believers that you shouldn't totally trust a business person, they can change like the wind when their stance is no longer favoring them. I know that it must be a very difficult situation for Saylor and Strategy to sell their Bitcoin in bear run where they are not making profit, if this were bull run we would have thought that they are selling because of profit. I'm not surprised about these Strategy selling, I knew that it could come to this when they were accumulating Bitcoin with investors funds.

The market is looking not to be on the decline but that doesn’t mean that we are already bullish and the big sell from Microstrategy will have the market fall so big. The nature of the market looks not to be in accordance to breaking news of sells like this from Microstrategy, the market is showing a very strong trend actions on its own accordance and not of the external factors of the whales in the market. The effect of those sells may come, but it may be so insignificant that we don’t know when it happens and the market continues to trails more on its path. For me, the market direction is unclear and we may see some crazy volatility for the short time in the market if a massive sell happens.

I never saw anyone who thought of his bitcoin purchases "this part I bought for cheap, this part I bought for a lot, I can sell some of it now from the cheap part and still be in profit". That is not how people think; you take the average of every single dime you put in, and then you see if you are in profit or not, and only sell if you are in profit overall.

They are said to be averaging around 75k or so per bitcoin overall, and that means they should be holding until it is over 75k per bitcoin as well. Not saying they will, or they can; maybe they can't and need to pay the investors their dividends, so they will have to sell. I am just saying what they should do, or they wish they could do. I am sure they could wait until 180k+ if they were capable of it; they would not want to sell. In fact, I am sure they would not be selling at all if they could hold it all. They are just forced to, because of their situation.
