I have recently started exploring the Klever Wallet for the purposes of my research on cryptocurrencies and cryptocurrency wallets. The variety of cryptocurrency wallets on offer is immense today and they all vary in terms of their features, security models and the range of blockchain protocols they support. Given this, I feel that understanding both the technical capabilities of a wallet and user-experiences is vital before I commit to using it long-term.

From what I’ve gathered through initial research, the Klever Wallet is a non-custodial option, which means that users retain control over their private keys and recovery phrase rather than delegating them to a third-party custodian.

This is critical for anyone who wishes to exercise self-custody over their own funds. Of course, as with any non-custodial wallet, the responsibility falls entirely on the user to securely store their recovery phrase, as access can be permanently lost by so doing. An aspect that stood out from my initial review of the app is its clean, user-friendly interface – something that can make a big difference for users who are new to cryptocurrencies. It also appears to support multiple blockchain networks and digital assets, allowing users to potentially manage a range of crypto holdings within a single application.

I will have to verify the supported networks and features as presented in the official documentation before I jump to any conclusions however.

Security is of course another major consideration. For any wallet analysis I always prefer to look beyond marketing materials and consider more concrete factors such as backup methods, transaction reliability, frequency of updates, community reception, and transparency of the development team. These are typically far more telling of a wallet’s lasting reliability than flashy advertisements and promises.

I’m very early on in my journey and as such haven’t yet formulated a concrete view on the Klever Wallet. What I aim to do is to consolidate information from a multitude of sources and compare it against alternative wallets, but mostly to hear from actual users who have been utilizing it for a longer duration. Peer reviews and community discussions have typically yielded the best insight into the strengths and weaknesses of crypto wallets, and this is why I decided to start this discussion thread here on Bitcointalk.

I realize that many members of the community here have a wealth of experience in using cryptocurrency wallets over many years and so I am hoping for some candid responses.

If you have personally used the Klever Wallet, could you please share your experiences with it? How has your experience been in terms of security, transaction processing, usability etc.? Is there anything about it that you find particularly beneficial and anything that could be improved? Your genuine opinions (good or bad) would be extremely valuable not only for my research but also for any future user considering the Klever Wallet.

Honestly, I never heard of this wallet before. I checked the library from GitHub; it seems it's not fully open-source. It looks like the link you provided is for Rust, not the app itself on iOS and Android.

I already checked the domain age, and yeah, it is 2014, but I'm not sure yet how safe this wallet is.
When I check the reviews on the PlayStore you will see that despite having high ratings, there are lots of negative reviews about this wallet on the first page of reviews.

Since most of the users said that this is not fully open-source, we can't trust this wallet. Even I don't have experience using it. I much prefer to use a known wallet than using a wallet that I just recently heard of.

If you just found it when searching, I suggest you do not try this wallet unless you are willing to risk or someone trusted users here use this already and verify it as a safe wallet without any issue.

I also never hear this wallet. They use similar approach with Trust Wallet, where they also publish some part of their wallet source code as library with name wallet-core. But AFAIK there's no way to know if exactly same library implemented on their closed-source wallet app.

I tried explore the website, but there's little information such as what is the backup method. It's also weird link to the support page can't be accessed without login, because i was hoping to see some FAQ there.
