The story is disheartening, on a norm, no body will like to lose valuable asset like Bitcoin, mostly after spending time and energy including hard earned money to accumulate and losses it will be happy, what I condemned in some individual is the length at which they go with their investment, tiring down their life and hope without any alternative or second to where they worship the asset, resting all hope on asset has taken many lives as unforseen most time likely happen to those asset the investor resolution is always suicide.
Avoiding much emotional attachment to an investment is very important, on should be able to see all risk because in risk to major factors are the determinant loss or gain neglecting losses and focus more on gain will never yeild good outcome when sadden story like this happen it takes strong heart to survive the pains the investor is naive on the negative paths of the investment.

The story was very painful, I don't know how he is enduring it. Anyway, this is not just a story, we should learn from this and be careful to keep our holdings more secure.

Actually, I don't know if he invested in other assets? If I were him, I would not have tried to accumulate 2 Bitcoins. Because experts say don't put all your eggs in one basket, so I would have invested in different assets. We should also be careful that we cannot trust only one wallet, we should try to keep funds in different wallets, so that if one wallet is hacked, we don't lose all our holdings.

To many people they learnt they lesson very early and with small amount of loses, which thought them a great lesson to this point, and this guy owns was quite expensive lesson, losing the 2BTC most especially in this time that bitcoin price is high to accumulate through DCA takes a long time of sacrifice and financial intelligence to be able to make that total amount in accumulation.

Losing a whooping 2 bitcoin is a massive and huge loss of investments  imagine if the price price of bitcoin hit another All Time High again that particular person would count that loss as catastrophic, is in term of money or crypto asset or in form of life savings? in fact I feel sorry for that fellow, even as a personal experience I know how I feel whenever I sold or traded my bitcoin to fiat when there is no alternative or money, how much more someone who lost their assets without any financial gain after stacking for a complete 8 years, yet lost those bitcoin,  I think such a person would need some sort of advice and encouragement to move on with life, like a wise saying which says ' if there is life there is hope',  however that experience is a wake up call to hodlers of bitcoin to thread carefully to avoid losing their hard earned crypto assets.

Starting over requires the effort of accumulating Bitcoin and hodling. There is a difference in how one feels when losing assets versus money; losing money means you know you can get the money back, but with assets, you think about the time spent hodling the asset to yield good value.

It's absolutely crazy to lose everything in the twinkle of an eye. I can only imagine what's going through the Coldcard victims' heads. I've lost some money to scams, but this is different. This is someone's fortune, inheritance, retirement fund, etc.
