how long are the devs going to keep dragging their feet? The Bitcoin protocol is already woefully outdated, updating it means implementing post-quantum signatures—before it's too late

The bitcoin developers do not want to rush things and which is very good. There was a thread that I posted that their patience is even paying them as some companies are raising millions of dollars just because they want to bitcoin to move to post quantum period. But just know that it is not what can be done within a short period of time.

Woefully outdated compared to what?

We got BIP-360 and some others. Other blockchains are targeting post quantum signature around 2028-2029.

Companies are also targeting post quantum cryptography by 2029 such as Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare, and so on.

Bitcoin isn't woefully outdated.
