HTX holds 5846.23 USDT for 3 weeks – demands login to fiatex.pro where I have no

I have been an HTX user for over 8 years (UID: 386981722).

On May 28, 2026, I withdrew 5846.23 USDT (TRC20) from my HTX account to an exchanger address (fiatex.pro, chosen via BestChange, without registration on the exchanger).

The exchanger did not process the order and returned the funds to the sender address – which is HTX's service wallet, not my personal deposit address.

HTX can clearly see my outgoing transaction (linked to my UID) and the return to their own wallet. The entire history between these addresses is just two transfers – the first from me, the second the return. Identification is trivial.

Support's actions:
They requested video evidence. I provided 5 (five) videos. Each time they add new requirements. Now they demand: "show your login to fiatex.pro" – but I never registered on fiatex.pro, I have no account there. I stated this in every message. This requirement is impossible to fulfill.

It has been 3 weeks. The funds are not credited and not returned.

1. Most, if not all, exchanges listed on Bestchange may freeze your funds, request KYC verification, or even refuse to process the transaction and refund to the address that deposited the funds. You should always have this in your mind
2. Now you know the reason why it's highly recommended that you first send the funds to your noncustodial wallet before sending them out to a custodial service. HTX is probably trying to follow standard procedure to prove that you are the real owner of the funds. Unfortunately, it's going to probably take long.

Does fiatex not give you some kind of unique ID/url to track transactions during exchange?

Identifying the owner of funds is not as easy as you think, it all involves wallets that you don't control yourself: HTX hot wallet > fiatex deposit wallet > HTX hot wallet.
Another thing you might try is asking for the fiatex deposit address key and then signing the message.

I have never used fiatex.pro before, but i just checked the website and it seems to be an automatic exchange that processes crypto to fiat transactions, at least that is what i understood when i went through the site. So if i am right, what did you intend to do here, deposit USDT from HTX into fiatex.pro and withdraw fiat from the exchange?

HTX should have refunded your money back to you, but that's centralized exchanges for you, they try to use every opportunity to seize customers' funds and ask for verifications. I think you should make noise about this issue on other platforms, maybe that would force their hand to release your funds to you.
