The truth is that most gamblers cannot handle such a large sum of money. I know of 2 gamblers who won huge sums of money. I have not won that big amount to consider it as an opportunity to use it to change my life. The little I have won can't do much, just two or three days flexing of yourself and friends, just small money. But if I win an amount in million dollars that can be used to change my financial status, I don't think I will miss that opportunity to do so. I'm not an addict, I don't see the reason not to be able to control a big win if I get that lucky.

But I know of gamblers who have won substantial amount of money in thousand dollars, they are back to the street and looking for help from people. It is not a good story when a gambler is suppose to utilize their winning to better themselves but they abuse the opportunity..

OP, I have come to realise in life that if you have not train your capacity to be able to manage and grow, there is nothing you can do that would sustain you more than the level you are and this is the situation of most people who gets accidental wealth and can not be able to utilise it because they have not worked on themselves to be able to function on such capacity of wealth they have received. But that was about big winners and in reality, not everyone who wins the jackpot loses everything. Well here is what I think, I believe the outcome or the end result of a gambler who wins a jackpot is not different from the person that has been playing gamble ever since. There is a dip fact that human cannot take action beyond what is already in their mind, and this means that, those gamblers have been irresponsible ever since they just didn't get the chance to prove that part of their life because of financial incapability.

I do not think there is any law in life that states something bad has to happen after you getting extremely lucky, haha.
It has much more to do with whether someone is mentally and financially prepared to suddenly become wealthy.
Million of dollar can solve a lot of problem but they can also create completely new ones.

Actually It is very natural to feel anxious after winning that much money. But I wouldn’t be worried about some mysterious “price you have to pay” for getting lucky. i do not agree that the reason why such thing can happen is because a gambler has not seen or won that amount of money before since they started gambling. someone who is discipline will surely know what to do with such amount of money when they are lucky to win, yea greed can make a gambler to continue gambling even after a big win and these kind of gambler usually learn in the hard way, i know emotion is always hard to control sometimes but discipline will always overpower greed.

The truth is that once a person gets their hands on a lot of money that they did not really work for they end up being careless in how they spend it, this is something that has happened alot already in the past, we've seen similar reports like this one, and not just from winning the lottery, there are cases of people suddenly finding out that they are the hair to some family fortune that they did no know they had up until the moment when they found out about it, they usually spend it without much care in the world.
