Actually land is a good investment. I don't know about other countries but we have a huge demand for land in Bangladesh. Anyway, the amount of land in this world is not increasing but the number of investors is increasing due to which the demand for land is increasing day by day. We know that as the demand for land increases and the price will also increase. So I think millionaires buy land as an investment.

Now poor people don't need to be bothered about this issue. If they can afford to buy land in the future then they can also become land owners.

The rich have most of the assets in the world, and last is no exception. How many poor people own large amounts of gold, Bitcoin, stock, bonds, and so on? Rich people don't like keeping money in the bank. They prefer to reinvest so that they can make a profit and also avoid taxes.

The poor should acquire cheap land. There are affordable lands in rural areas that can be bought for a low amount. As the population increases, these lands in rural areas will gain more value. I will not wait until I have all the money to buy land in the city because it might never happen due to low income and high cost of living.

Bill Gates is the largest owner of farmlands in the United States with about 275,000 acres across almost 20 states

Anders Hulsh Pulverson owns more than 220,000 acres in Scotland at the same time the Crown estate which controls about 615,000.

Shouldn't the poor and average people in the society be bothered?
Despite the fact that Bill gates has bought those large hectares of land,he didn't force the owners of those lands to sell their lands to him, he bought them legally. Same as Anders Hulsh pulverson and the rest of the billionaires who are acquiring land for themselves. However, the poor and the average man have nothing to worry about because there are still thousands of hectare of lands around the world, so if they have some money and they can afford it then they can secure some plots for themselves. The world is a very big place so there's enough land for everyone as long as you have some money to buy in your name.

Not everyone has the perception of buying a land for future use, some people have their money but couldn't afford to secure one because they don't see it as a valuable asset, buying a land is very lucrative and only those with business idea is we have the intention of investing their money into landed properties, a rich man that truly understand what it takes to secure the future will do all it takes to buy land because he has the understanding of seeing it as an ever appreciative assets.

I don't think the poor should be bothered about the wealthy acquiring a lot of land. They should just learn from the wealthy and realize that land is a very good investment.  I really think one of the main reasons this people you have mentioned invest a lot in landed properties is a way of investing their money for the future.  Land is one of the oldest investment and its still a very good investment till date and that's why the wealthy don't joke with it. They keep acquiring these lands even if they don't even have plans on what to do with it right now, but they know that it puts them in a different class in the society. I just want to point it clear that the wealthy will never stop acquiring lands, despite every other investments they have got, because they understand the true value of land and I think it's something the poor and the average of the society should learn from them.

The poor have nothing to be bothered about the rich buying up large hecters of land as there are many vast lands remaining for people that can afford them, except a rich person buys up an entire country that is where the poor should be worried whether they can afford rent but it's quite impossible for one person to own every land in a country. If a rich person buys a vast land and develops them it would create employment for the poor who will work in the infrastructures that are set up on the lands, although I agree that the rich exploits the poor but the poor needs to work for the rich to survive. It's not actually a win win between the rich and poor but any projects that the rich embarks on they will need the poor to do the manual works so the wealth of the rich somehow robs off on the poor and that is why the rich are supposed to be prospering so that the poor can survive.

Why should the poor be bothered if I may ask, is there a law that state that rich people should not buy land as much as they want? The society gives everyone the previlege to do what they can, provided that they don't violate any rule. What the poor should be doing is to find way to increase their sources of income to be able to secure their own Land. I believe that if government sees that buying such land will be a threat or will affect government proposed plan in the future, they may decide to put into law the total amount of land a person should buy in that country. But if it's not implemented then the poor should just forget about it and face their challenges.

The two billionaires you mentioned, who did they buy the acres of land from mostly? The poor people, I think.

What's there is that the poor sell up their land for funds, which those who can afford to buy the land have it developed. That's the way it is everywhere; people sell their land when they need money or for personal gain.

However, when the poor and average people should be bothered is when there are no much lands available for their children to build upon and cultivate to make their own money, because if they continue letting the rich buy up their land, that means there will be problems in the future for their kids to buy up the land their parents sold at a low price for a high price

They are buying up lands in order to control "secure" the food supply when the big war & global 1929 style economic meltdown comes along with the global famine "food crisis" almost like how that ever"green" boat that got stuck in the canal test run but this time it will be a whole strait job maybe. Eat ze bugs and be happy because meat will be very expensive for ze little sheople along with fossil fuels etc. Hope this helps

I don’t think they are, even if they get bothered, what more can they do, absolutely nothing. I believe there will definitely still be more lands left for others to buy and since they are people who have the money to do so, they can go ahead.
