You have seen me posted about the use of low leverage, not using all the money in your exchange account to trade, learning trading psychology, averaging or grid trade up to certain level and not up to turning it into martingale which is used by poor traders.
I have also posted about trader should not only make risk management a practicality but also be good in financial management. Knowing not to borrow money to trade and also knowing the percentage of your income to set on trading which I think should not be more than 10%, but this still depend on how low risky you go while trading which should still be moderate.
Also knowing the right coins to trade because many coins are full of whales that you can not be better than as they will manipulate your money for their own profits, but you in losses. And also that some coins are too volatile.
Do you know that you can know all these and still not be a graduate in trading. Just test yourself, if you can do this 5 times, you are a trading graduate. Example is when bitcoin fell from $120000 to $100000 and your go on long position, if you are able to still make profit or only having a significantly little loss, that is when you have a trading graduate. Such volatile market will always come, be prepared and test yourself 5 to 10 times to call yourself a trading graduate.
It can be in swing trading. You can set stop loss if you want.

You could know everything and still not be a graduate in trading because practical and application is very different from theory. Some people know everything in theory, but they fail in application of this knowledge, this is why they keep failing, and keep thinking they still have some theory knowledge to learn, when they should just be doing more practicals and applications. Some people who do not have full theory knowledge but go on to try apply the little they know may even experience success better as a trader than somebody with all the knowledge but failure in application. It is only when some traders try applying knowledge and the theory they have that they will notice that there are many unique situations that the straight theory knowledge they have cannot help.

I believe trading is a school with endless lessons. There is no graduation only the results of your trading show that you've gone through the challenges of the market and survived while others gave up. The market offers endless knowledge. As time goes by, you keep learning more but your success still depends on the kind of trader you are, the mindset you've developed over the years, and how well you manage your trades. You could be making six figures and still not consider yourself a graduate. That doesn't mean you're not a good trader. It simply means you understand that there is no limit to what you can learn from the market and over time you try to replicate your idea and knowledge of the market..

Everything in trading can be studied. I don't think you will need some kind of testing yourself to graduate since the market is always changing. If you just found your strategy and learn from the mistakes before, you can avoid them in the future, which can optimize your strategy.
Risk management is a must; it should be part of your strategy to survive in the long run since you are still studying the market and cleaning your execution. You need risk management to keep you alive in the market and save them in your journal to keep those right decisions and wrong decisions organized and filtered until you gain a better win rate in trading while avoiding your past mistakes.
About taking a loan for trading, that's a pretty bad idea but if you have a stable job and already filter out almost all newbies' mistakes and profitable, then you can loan, but make sure it's not a high amount that you can pay easily from your job. However, honestly I'm against it I might better challenge myself to grow my account with small amount than taking a loan.

I believe trading is a school with endless lessons.
I also think so because of people that are trading and losing but they continue to choose the path to trading and continue to lose money. They will continue to learn until they finally stop trading like someone that has been addicted to gambling since few years ago. But for successful traders, the lesson is not endless for them, that is the reason they finally understand trading and not losing like before.

I probably won't rush to that test because looking for the right time and the right position (at least the belief in the chances of winning is much greater when I open positions), my trading method will be different this year than in previous years which is quite active trading even a month can be 5 to 10 times open positions, but this year only twice even though it has passed half a semester more. The points in the OP are almost all I have learned and understood well, but the most important part of risk mitigation or risk management is always an important part that must be included in your trading plan scenario for wiser consideration, especially in uncertain situations.
And stop loss becomes one of the mandatory positions to do if it's me, because losses must be at a size that we are ready to accept, limiting losses is a good thing for our mental health, especially with a very volatile situation not only on altcoins, even bitcoin is also the same for in a bear market.

It was never meant to be that easy. No matter how you try to have an edge over the market, there is always a tendency that it’ll teach you a lesson. You are not a perfect trader and there is no way you’re going to escape incurring losses even if you’re already profitable. You can only call yourself a trading graduate if you’re able to access yourself and see that your ratio of wins are far much better than that of your losses. That’s the essence of trading, not trying to run away from losses but trying to minimise them and maximise the profits coming from the market.
Volatile market are not easily escaped by many traders no matter how smart you might be, but when you already risk an amount you can afford to lose and it goes your way, you’ll be hailed to be the smartest whereas you allowed the market to do its work while risking a little and hoping for a better outcome. Volatile market can either build you or break you, just risk what you can afford to lose when they come to stand a chance when the market goes your way.

The market existence is built around profits and losses and both must be accompanied every day. We have traders that are not making profits rather steping their foots on losses while other traders are busy out there making profits. We keep expanding our knowledge everyday in the market, we should be able to knot our heads round the trending of trading. This is about us knowing the the corners of the market and been competent to trade with full confidence, that's one of the solid way to stay on top of the market. We make mistake and what's our next step when we make this mistakes? We should do everything within our reach to ensure we don't repeat them again because that's how to stay on the lane with full agility.

But does a trading graduate really matters? Because as far as I know, regardless of your trading experiences that end up with various outcomes, no one still hit perfection in trading. No one still avoid losses 100%, and no one trades with overconfidence that never experiences lapses and failure at some point. That is why no one cares to be a trading graduate, because there will always be inevitable losses and market changes that will make you unprofitable in some of your trades.
Trading lessons are endless. Because every time you set yourself to trade, you always learn from those unexpected outcomes, whether they're profits or losses.

I thought by the definition of what you're saying as a trading graduate means that you're done with it and moving on to another direction which isn't that far with trading, and that's investing. But to test someone's ability and to say that they can be called as trading graduates depending on the conditions that are being set, differs on the take of who wants to test themselves. I think someone who's good and profitable enough has nothing to prove if they can be called as graduates or not. What matters into this activity is whether you're good in minimizing your losses and at least making a good profit margin.

The question is, if you can make it 5 times to 10 times consistently? Obviously its hardly possible to make it. Professional traders still fail on their trades, and those who thought they are already graduate in trading may still lose their trades at one point or another.
However, in reality there may be no graduates in trading, because as long as you still encounter some unexpected losses, and still fall on some traps when trading, and sometimes get emotional traders, you can't really tell that you are already a graduate. Learning will stay constant and endless, and that perhaps losses are also endless but can be minimized.

Accept it or not, hodling is a form of trading that some people will not accepted because they see it as investment, but those that are very patient enough to buy bitcoin and hold it for years like 3, 5, 10 years or more are graduates in trading. I said this because they have mastered how to be very patient, buy bitcoin and just hold it and letting their patience do the work for them.

I practically cannot believe in graduating in trading. Many experienced traders make wrong decisions even though they may not lose because of the stop loss strategy. A trader uses leverage for strategic reasons but they are at risk of losing because if their target is not achieved many people sell at a loss and buy another coin.
You have given importance to the financial management of a trader. I agree with you that if a trader can manage his funds properly, he will achieve good results on the trading platform. He said that 10% of his income should be used for trading. I think it is better to use the funds according to his financial capacity for trading. Do not put financial pressure on yourself and take risks in some cases because if you do not take risks, there is less chance of getting high profits.

Well considered myself as one who can able to surpass the red mark on my portfolio but I dont think of it as trading but maybe form of investment. When you just buy a share or fraction of token and hold it to the point that you can say its worth your money in the long run. Trading is a lot harder than being an investor who needs a lot of knowledge and familiarization on concept and application of trading.

One thing that we need to understand is that trading is a constantly changing process, which means that there will always be changes in the market and its behaviour and then you will need to learn and adapt new ways of understanding the behaviour of the market and then act accordingly to actually stay afloat. This simply means that a trader should always be in the process of learning, you basically never graduate in this, you are constantly learning, and there is no limit to that. Even those who have spent years in this market still make mistakes, why? Because the market is constantly changing. I know that we often make predictions after doing fundamental and technical analysis, and most of the times, if we know what we are doing, our predictions might turn out to be correct, but that doesn't mean we have mastered the market, and we can now do that every single time, because as I said, the dynamics of the market take no time to change, its behaviour can change very quickly that even those who have too much knowledge might get tricked sometimes. So, I think it's a constant learning process, so we can't label ourselves as graduates or masters based on any level of knowledge we have.

I have also posted about trader should not only make risk management a practicality but also be good in financial management. Knowing not to borrow money to trade and also knowing the percentage of your income to set on trading which I think should not be more than 10%, but this still depend on how low risky you go while trading which should still be moderate. I see borrowing money to trade as a kind of risk that makes the trader to be overly desperate for quick profit just so they can be able to cover that debt, it's just like a gambler taking loans to fulfill their gambling desire. Personally, I have been in a situation where I got liquidated and that was because I took the trade aggressively without waiting for extra confirmation the way I normally do, after I was liquidated, price later gave a clean confirmation and started going my direction, I almost called my friend to lend me some money but I just thought to myself that it's not right because I can still lose the trade. If someone actually wants to use their income to trade, they know best how their budget looks like and the amount of money they already have saved up and the other investments that they have already done, so depending on how financially stable the person is, they could decide to allocate more than 10% of their income to trading which is not bad in my opinion. If for example, someone has multiple streams of income due to different investment they have made, they could decide to use more than 10% of a specific incomes to invest in trading, as long as it's an amount that they can afford to lose, there is no problem about that. Also knowing the right coins to trade because many coins are full of whales that you can not be better than as they will manipulate your money for their own profits, but you in losses. And also that some coins are too volatile. Very true, I saw one newly listed coin on the exchange I normally use for trading, so I decided to trade the coin because I have observed that some newly listed token will pump just on the first week that it was being listed but from the second week or few days after it has been listed, the token will start to dip very well and as an experience trader or someone that doesn't trade just one pair, you can catch sell positions. I took 1 sell position when the price of the token started falling, it was a successful trade but when I decided to take another position, the price of that token was manipulated and I lost both my initial profit and part of my capital, (I still have the record since it was part of my last week trade). Price manipulation is very common among some altcoins and trading them on derivative option using high leverage is more like gambling because even a graduated trader (as you called it) will find out that their strategy or edge is going to fail many time on that token compare to how well it works with Bitcoin and some few developed token. It can be in swing trading. You can set stop loss if you want.
Are you beginning to change your mind towards using stop lose? 🤔

When I was using stop loss, I was a very bad trader. It was later that I know it was greed that was causing it. I trade with high amount of money and I use leverage, but the stop losses did not help at all. Emotions will set in and later all my trading funds will be liquidated. I used what happened to me to post and the corrections that I made. Stop loss was part of my learning process, but I graduated into not using it again.

In reality, there is never a complete graduation from trading, as the market is constantly changing and the learning process never stops. The hallmark of a graduate or mature trader is not just the ability to make big profits, but also the ability to preserve capital in bad times or close trades with very small losses. Learning to keep losses small preserves capital for the next opportunity in the market. The market will always surprise you, so being prepared and testing yourself repeatedly to refine your strategy is the real practice.
