I was wondering whether the casino industry or traditional businesses are more profitable? Both sectors require capital and both involve risks. Casino owners and business people make money in their own ways, but which type of development do you think has more profit and better opportunities?
There is no single answer.
Your profitability will depend on your business model, operation, competition in your area, regulation and risk management ability and some various factor.
Yes, many people may think that casino mean guaranteed profit, lol
In reality, it is not that simple, mam.
Yes, the biggest strength of casinos is house edge. But against that income, there are also huge costs of licensing, regulatory requirements, KYC/AML, marketing, bonuses, payment processing, taxes, and operational expenses and many more. So Gross Gaming Revenue and ultimately Net Profit are not same thing.
On the other hand a good traditional business does not have any fixed house edge. But if you can create a product or service that continues to grow in demand then you can scale it year after year and in many cases your business can be more profitable than casino.
