Both businesses carries risk and is also profitable, your question is some how complicated,why putting up the two when everyone knows the two business requires capital, and to the best of my knowledge weather traditional business or Casion business both are business only thing is that its a matter of choice and it all depends on individual and what they really want ,many can't just go into Casion business reasons known to them just like some too can't go into traditional business,so I don't see any point of putting up there two here.

Do you mean gambling vs other industry? Gambling industry, especially online, has seen significant growth over the past years. Now a lot of new casinos pop up over the past years as well and take a slice of the pie. If you have a lot of funds and can do good marketing, your casino will probably grow much faster compared to other kinds of business, at least for me.

While other industries are also good and profitable, the time to grow, especially if you are just starting out, will take considerable time. The OP has complicated the question but he is actually meaning almost same thing. A casino business is a business that you can wish to start on your own if you know the risk involved and can take on it like that. Every other business also is the same, irrespective of the name the business it is called, they also have their risks which should be learnt through before eventually beginning to invest fully into it. The profit incentives from business is determined by how you’re able to manage the business and the patronage you receive overall, so comparison won’t really give you the best to go for if you haven’t started yet and quantify things yourself overall in the business.

Although it might be tempting to say that this is different there should be a more specific explanation of traditional business because there will be a lot of traditional business although I feel that gambling will still be more profitable.  We cannot be naive here because with anything gambling will always seem superior because for businesses usually a certain target market is always an option but for gambling they are more global and flexible in terms of target markets because men, women, young and old can do this only on condition that all have money that can be wagered then they can gamble.

Your profitability will depend on your business model, operation, competition in your area, regulation and risk management ability and some various factor.

Yes, the biggest strength of casinos is house edge. But against that income, there are also huge costs of licensing, regulatory requirements, KYC/AML, marketing, bonuses, payment processing, taxes, and operational expenses and many more. So Gross Gaming Revenue and ultimately Net Profit are not same thing.

On the other hand a good traditional business does not have any fixed house edge. But if you can create a product or service that continues to grow in demand then you can scale it year after year and in many cases your business can be more profitable than casino.
