I believe everyone in this forum that has the opportunity to come across this thread will exactly say know that Nigerian government can never try such things, it really touched me when a federal worker say that federal worker is just pass my neighbor and most of the government workers salary is just from hands to mouth, so that why decided create this particular thread to see our reactions and even with the salary some of the federal government are receiving monthly is not worth because of the small salary they earned monthly, they are the people that always go for the highest loan just to survive, since the salary can't reach out to their needs.

I don't the mindset set of other youths out there, Nigeria could have be a better a place if the wages should be done on a weekly basis, if those that are contesting for president in Nigeria come 2027 have the ambition of changing Nigeria to a better place, at least if they should start from there, for us to see changes, not everytime promises will still end up being an empty promises, so if there is any federal government workers out there, i will advice that you should engage on investing in Bitcoin and any other business to keep going because a successful one doesn't only depend only on one resource.

So will paying your salary weekly now eradicate the hardship? Is that what you are trying to say? Or will it now stop you from taking loans from loan apps? Because at first, I thought maybe you will say if Federal government could increase the salary of Federal workers, that would have made sense, rather than suggesting weekly payment. So let's take our soldiers as example now who earns #104,000 per month. So are you trying to say that if Federal government can instead of paying our Nigerian soldiers #104,000 per month and decides to divide the money into 4 places which is #25,000 weekly and pay them, are you trying to say that this #25,000 weekly will solve all the problems the soldiers had?
Because to be honestly speaking, this your point doesn't make any point at all.

If the federal government pays salary weekly instead of monthly, it still doesn’t change anything as long as the workers will still receive the same salary total when multiplied to what they collect weekly by four weeks to make a month. Also, paying workers salary weekly will make processing for the salaries to be more faster which I think we don’t have the resources to meet up with the deadline weekly. With the resources on ground now, it will only make some people get underpaid or overpaid when it comes to collation of the salary to meet up with weekly payment for all workers. This is something impossible, so Nigeria government won’t even try this because i even doubt if such happens in some countries where government workers are paid weekly.

In my suggestion i didn't indicate any amount to be paid weekly basis but for the purpose of your illustration concerning the Nigerian soldier earning 104,000 per month, have you quickly think that Nigeria soldiers can be paid 104,000 weekly to start with the new revolution or do you think Nigeria government is not capable of raising such funds, i know that any of the contester for the seat of president in this coming election can do it, if he wants to and there are top politicians that are receiving millions all in the name of salary, which are not to be so because there are set people that there salary can't buy food stuff finished and if you should ask me, i will tell you that any security agencies are meant to be receiving the highest salary because there life can be lost in the battle field.

I don't think if government start paying weekly will change anything, how much are they even paying monthly talk more of spilting it to weekly,we need better things to be done in our country and not there weekly payment, does it mean many won't end up in debts if they are been paid weekly, prices are going up everyday,it's hard for people to eat 3 square meal now, we need a good governance, these weekly payment is not really important to me to be honest .

Every government has the right to use any payment plan that suits them, the fact that the Nigerian government is paying monthly does not mean that they can’t pay weekly if they chose, it is just that one thing i know about Nigeria is that they hardly adapt quickly to new things, most countries pay their workers weekly, some even pay per hour so to me there is no big deal about weekly or monthly payments and i see no reason why the Nigerian government haven’t enforced weekly payment plan. Personally i even prefer weekly payments because it gives you steady inflow of cash at hand to tackle your needs, waiting till the end of the month might even make certain low-income earners to go into borrowing to survive and when the salary finally come it will be used to service loan. Nigerians concern currently should be how the government can review the current poor salary scale rather than focusing on what payment plan that the government wants to use.

If my monthly salary is 100k and you pay me 25k every week, does it make me better in terms of the value of the 25k or it makes it easy for me to continue eating from hands to mouth? the challenge with working as a civil servant is more serious than advocating for weekly pay. what we should be looking out for should be to increase the amount an individual is earning in terms of minimum wage and work on fast promotion among workers.

The current pay from the government to the civil servant does not correlate with the current economic reality in the country and so, if there is ever a need to make any adjustment, the review should first be focused on increasing the monthly pay of government workers. i mean, elected government officials earn more and i don't see a reason why government workers under the civil service commission should earn any less.

The simple answer nah No. Our government dey disorganized and anything wey get to do with payment of salary, the suggestion np dey sit well with them. Paying a worker on a weekly basis go look like cheating to them because them go begin to give reason why such things no need to happen.

The government can't just wake up in the morning and start paying weekly, you should know that it won't be possible and even if any president comes into power and change the mode of payment into weekly, it won't still solve the hardship in the country because the economy is hard and the value of naira has drop drastically, imagine it a worker earns two thousand naira as a daily pay and you calculate that into just a week and pay, It won't still solve the problems and bills that the civil servants have.

There's virtually a payment plan for the civil servants and it can't be deviated from this very moment as everyone has been used to for ages now. This is literally what shouldn't be agitated for, it's better if the federal government increases the wages of the civil servants than seeking for weekly payments which will even make things more difficult for them as the money won't amount to anything unlike when it comes in bulk at the end of the month, so to me it's not a good idea as it will affect the civil servants if that is done.

Paying workers weekly is common in the Western world, this system of salary payment is very good but Nigeria government will find it difficult to enthus it.
There is one thing that Nigeria leaders do, anything they know will benefit the workers, they hardly approve it, now they travel abroad, and enjoy their system of leadership, and ways of doing things their, but when they return to Nigeria, they do different thing.
Here in Nigeria, paying workers salary as at when do is a very big problem for them, talk more of paying weekly, but they expect you to put in your best, and render services to them.

Is unfortunate that the state and even federal workers are going through a lot in recent time due to low or poor income rate as salary. You can imagine someone that has probably served his 35 years in office and afterwards, no tangible benefits or achievement to show for it. And most times after retiring from service you see an aged man or woman returning back to casual jobs just to survive because their pension alone can't fix their bills and all that. However, if civil servant or federal workers can be place on a weekly payment respectively, this will ignite a significant financial improvement, and will make them ( civil servant) experience a more better life they have been missing out for years.

i will advice that you should engage on investing in Bitcoin and any other business to keep going because a successful one doesn't only depend only on one resource.
Are you talking about investing in Bitcoin? people that can barely feed, perhaps going through the toughest time of their life. Though if they can figure out their discretionary funds it might be possible. But I doubt, only if they can get other stream of income then they can make it

Our government is crazy. Power drunken and greedy minded personalities. How much do they pay monthly in the first place? How much will the government workers end up receiving if they even think of sharing there monthly salary into 4 parts weekly?

Presently, we need nothing of such I tell you. What we need is finding a better way to first touch the citizens where it affects them mostly. And that is the high cost of things. Everything is just too costly that the common man can't buy rice or fish or meat to feed his family. If our government can find a way to reduce the cost of good and services, then one major problem is solved, and then number 2, the cost of transportation. The price of petrol is another major problem we have and it has affected every part of our lives. If the fund a way to reduce the cost, and sell more cheaply, then life may be better for us. Thirdly, our security, if they improve this, then we will definitely live again. If these few areas are touched, then we can begin to be revitalized.

Thereafter, we can look at granting loans, subsidies, job creations and increment I'm salaries. Infact, we have a lot to do for our citizens. Our government no dey try at all

If we are to advocate the wage structure in Nigeria, we should be talking about the increment of minimum wage and allowances so that at the end of the day, public servants will earn more than they currently earn.

If the federal government should decide to start paying weekly like some of the Western countries do, they'll only need to divide the total amount of what they currently pay by 4 and it'll still not make any significant change.
