Congrats with beginning of season. I was hoping that we can reach 30 players, but anyway, still we got not bad number. Not much what to say about first game - Bayern just continue what they were doing for years, some things never change.

If I'm not mistaken, a couple of seasons ago they used odds from one of the bookmakers, apparently the one who advertised with them, since if you clicked on the odds, you were redirected to this bookmaker. Now, it seems this is either an average player rating or a proprietary algorithm. I noticed this last year because some games were rated completely abnormally (like 1.1 instead of 2.0).
Is Bayern an easy bet today? Last season, they averaged 3.5 goals per game  

Indeed, in past they had actual odds, but IIRC last season they changed it to what we have now. It looks that these odds is based on Kicktipp players predictions. From whgat I checked, I never saw that these odds would be even close to what bookmakers have and it's a bit misleading.

Still, I'm surprised I was that close. I thought the first game of the season could be hard for Bayern, but it looks like they are still in as good of a shape as they were in the last season.

After the first game, we have a lone leader. Well done to xLays for predicting the correct goal difference. Looks like none of us had any faith in Stuttgart stealing at least a point.

I had a feeling that in the first game no one will get any advantage because Bayern is still Bayern and no one in their right mind would back Stuttgart against them. Like others, I didn't expect that they will score five goals in the season opener, but they did it. Let's see what will the rest of the round bring us.

Really strange to see them 3-0 down against a team which is a newcomer from the lower division and not a big team at all, i dont saw the game so i dont know how it was the develop and how bad they played but they tried a comeback in the last minutes making a 3-2 at the end making it a close result but a lose after all.

Or maybe it's because Elversberg are better than we expected? It's always assumed that newly-promoted clubs will be among the weakest, but sometimes they can surprise.
Leverkusen did quite well in their friendlies, so it's hard to imagine they forgot how to play football all of a sudden.
That being said, I haven't watched that game either, so I'm not sure what happened there.

What the hell is Elversberg and how did they manage to win against one of the better teams in the league?
I usually know most of the teams that get promoted from the Bundesliga 2, these were probably in the lower divisions until 2-3 years ago.

Thank you thank you Actually I'm quite disappointed that I only got 2 points from picking what I believe is a Close pick (I made 3-1 and it was actually 3-2). I'm noticing some people get 3 points for correct GD even though the score is not 'close'.

So funny thing is if I had picked 2-1 instead of 3-1 I would have got 3. Seems a bit unfair but I just have to get used to it and stick 2-1 when I can.

I did suspect Leverkusen were going to have a bad start, happy to be right but I'm really not happy to see @buwaytress in front

Having a sole lead from the first round is cool, but we all know he starts off well, and then... I hope he holds on even better this time than last season  
Overall, the season started as expected - Bayern looks set to break its scoring record, while the rest of the league is fighting for a top-four finish and whatever. Only three games saw fewer than three goals scored. The Bundesliga maintains its level.
Unfortunately, in cash bets I "guessed" a surprise and Bayer now owes me money.

I started off this season easy. 8th place, but already 5 points behind buwa. However, I'm not worried. Last season I was hanging around the middle of the table until last few rounds. Then I made that big round with correct outcome of all games and kept it until the end.

I got it, thanks. So in this case, 2-1 and 2-0 are the most optimal scores in kicktipp I would guess 1-1 if you want to go for draws right? It feels a pity because Bundesliga always seems like a highscoring league (I didn't research, just guessing).

I know i never did good in this pool, but is incredible how i always manage to get worse in this one, this start is awfull and im already in the bottom with just one round played, i want to change it in the upcomings rounds since we are jsut starting and the gap is still short but damn man i dont know why i play this bad everysingle time i take part in this Bundesliga pool, in all the rest i do above average most of the times but in this one im below average by far.

That's very generous.
I'm sure there will be weeks where there 2 or more people scoring the same number of points. Especially considering most would stick to the same strategy of betting on favourites.
In the 1st round, there are 7 people all ranked 8th with 12 points each, so the same could happen for the 1st place.

There's also a potential exploit where all (or almost all) participants could conspire to make exactly the same predictions, so all of them would be getting a free $25 bet each week. But that's more of a hypothetical scenario, as I don't think any of us here would do that. Plus, a threat of a red trust rating is a sufficient deterrent.

I know I didn't win freebet this gw, but yeah I think we all hope there won’t be any wagering requirements on the winnings from the freebet. Winning the freebet itself is already difficult, so imagine having to wager the winnings 5x to 10x on top of that.

Also, if possible I hope there won’t be any delays in distributing the freebet here. Because one of vega.bet contests from games and rounds still hasn’t paid out the prize. It’s been more than a week since the winner was announced, but the prize still hasn’t been given.

Not a bad start for me considering how crazy this league gets. The thing is, with this league there are always so many goals that it's very difficult to predict the exact scoreline. Bundesliga is one of the most fun ones to predict because you don't have to always go for the 1-0s and 2-1s as that's less probable to happen here. You can get creative, especially with the Bayern matches and go for the 4-1s, 5-2s and 6-3s.

Well, there must be some wagering requirement, at least 1x; otherwise, it would be a free credit, not a free bet. But hopefully it won't be anything too excessive.

Also, if possible I hope there won’t be any delays in distributing the freebet here. Because one of vega.bet contests from games and rounds still hasn’t paid out the prize. It’s been more than a week since the winner was announced, but the prize still hasn’t been given.

I don't think they would want to scam anyone on contest winnings. Probably just a case of them forgetting to do it, or some miscommunication on who/when was meant to pay out the prize. It happens sometimes with promotional events, where there's more than one person involved.

The first post mentions there are 2,000 Euros held in escrow. I'm not sure if this is to make sure free bets are credited? I think the pool entry fees are held separately by Cygan.
