The result is completely illogical - Stuttgart conceded far too many goals in a single match (having allowed only 10 in their previous 6 games), while Mönchengladbach scored far too many (having netted only 8 in their prior 6 matches). This outcome was hard to foresee, and it proved very helpful to those who had forgotten to submit their predictions by Friday - since no one received any points for this match, the competition effectively begins on Saturday.
As per cygan's post above, if Monchengladbach played with their last lineup due to injuries, maybe it can be attributed to second-string players being extra motivated, as they finally got a chance to shine and prove they deserve to be in the first squad.
This week has been pretty bad for all. None of us made more than 3 correctly predicted tendencies. Elche was quite lucky. He missed Fiday's prediction, but none of us got it right anyway. He's now in the lead this week with 9 points, but 7 guys (myself included) have 8 points each, so anything can happen.
Tomorrow's games have a high chance of unexpected results. Freiburg have been really solid this season so far, so I have a bit of a lower confidence in Bayern, but I still see them as favourites.
Whoever wants to attack the weekly $50 free bet may need to go with at least one less probable outcome to give themselves an edge over others.
