Did I misunderstood something? If I win a freebet, I need to deposit in order to use that freebet? That's not how other bookies are doing it. I just won a freebet on another bookie site and I got to use it without depositing any of my own money.

When I got my free bet (for matchday 2) it was just a credit, with no requirements at all. I still wagered it at as I thought it would not be fair just to withdraw it straight away, as it was meant to be a free bet, but there were no requirements whatsoever.
I'm not sure if anything changed since then, or if maybe others are referring to something maybe mentioned in the Terms of Service, which doesn't necessarily relate to the $50 free bets for this competition? I don't know.

Well, your freebet was rewarded far before Vega.bet announced news regarding the way freebets are credited. cygan posted it few days ago:

until now, the 50 USDT has always been credited as pure balance to the matchday winners, and if a bet won, Vega.bet did not withhold any amount.
now the platform is finally switching to the free bet format, and effective immediately, if a bet wins, the amount of the free bet will be deducted from the total winnings (as is standard practice at all another bookies)

It makes sense because Vega was basically giving away free money by crediting those $50 as a deposit. This way (with a standard freebet reward) they keep that $50 in case of a winning bet, and the player gets only the earned part. For example if you win a ticket with 1.50 odds, you only get $25 credited to your account. The reward itself is kept by the bookie. That's the way how other bookies are doing it.

Aah ah! I thought since there were DFB pokal matches, the first match of Bundesliga wasn't until tomorrow... I need to make not missing the deadline count. I'm still buried deep between the standings, but I'm only 11 points away from the leader and only 2 points separates the top 5  , so a couple of good rounds would surely be very helpful starting from tonight.

While working on my predictions, I took note of the odds for the Bayern vs. Dortmund match:

1.32 - 6.20 - 8.20

I really don’t want to bet against Bayern, but these odds are a blatant insult to Dortmund. 1.32? Seriously? For teams that have essentially the same number of points and share a fierce, long-standing rivalry? Either the bookmakers know something I don’t (which is more than likely, haha), or this is just as nonsensical as what we saw when the Barcelona vs. Real Madrid match was being priced. I think I’ll pass on betting here, but the odds seem completely detached from reality to me.

Yesterday when i was making my picks i just check it with the actual odds and despite they are true in which is the favorite is nothing close to the real odds so the weight is super strange to say the least, i dont know if they take the odds from very early in the week or what but i dont think so, sometimes a team have crazy odds.

I also have no idea where does Kicktipp app get those odds. However, can the odds be a reflection on how users are making predictions? That would make sense since majority of the users probably go with a favorite to win. That would explain why favorites usually have a lot lower odds than what bookies give and vice versa - underdogs have a lot higher odds than what bookies have. Could that make sense?

^ dar and slack, can't recall but it was recently discussed that the odds are probably fetched pre-season, and then they don't adjust with market shifts. So definitely don't look at kicktipp odds when making picks.

On the Friday match, hmm. I did wonder if this was the time to follow where the hearses were going and sidle up with Mainz, but when that first goal arrived, I thought: "Yeah, this was not the time to have made that call at all".

Ah yes, of course. I didn't mean Elversburg of course (I would expect them to get knocked out actually), must have mistaken the scoreline, or trusted an AI version (which showed me Liverpool was playing penalties and leading 6-4) when Chelsea hadn't had their last PK yet. I really dislike how everything is using AI and it has proven to be very bad at understanding football (and penalty shootouts!).

It was fun Der Klassiker, though at some point I already thought that it will end with boring 1:0 Bayern win. Bayern can blame themselves for wasted chances, but I think that Dortmund deserved draw.
