A lot of countries make it illegal to do and will actually enforce it at that point.

I don't think there's an incentive for the casino to do it though either. I've seen reviews of geopolitical events meaning money gets taken like the Russian invasion of Ukraine when some users money was confiscated on casino sites and in gambling adjacent industries.

If you play from a country where online gambling is prohibited then you are at risk if that information is exposed in KYC.
Just because you are allowed to use VPN, it's not fair to assume that casino will ignore your country's law or their Restricted Country Policy.

From what have happened on the scam accusation board before, the person want to withdraw but the gambling site know that he is visiting from a restricted country. The gambling site will disable the withdrawal and tell him to verify. If kniw, the gambling site might send him only the money that he deposited and block his account, but some gambling site will not send him anything at all and confiscate the whole money.

Of course, in this case, the winning money can be lost because if I live in a country where gambling is prohibited and if I use a VPN from another country to gamble, then of course I will tell you if they ask me to do KYC, then how can I do KYC. Suppose I live in Bangladesh but I participated in a casino that is not allowed in Bangladesh, but if I participate through a VPN from India and in that case if I do not want to profit from gambling, then if my KYC is mandatory while withdrawing, how can I do KYC? Dubious casinos will find holes and ways just to deny you your withdrawal, and finding out that you are located in a restricted country is one good reason not to grant the money you deserve.

You've just given them a reason why they should not allow your withdrawal; casinos are very strict on their terms, even a little violation will get your account imperiled, so if there's something that you are confused about their terms, ask support, and keep a record of the conversation; that way you'll not lose your account or worry because you have a strong defense.

Maybe in situations where such warning was not showed but when the gambler was about to withdraw their money and find out while doing his KYC verification are they still going to withheld the gamblers money, if something like that was not made known at the beginning then it will not be fair to enforce it when the gambler has already made wins. Most casinos already lists the number of countries they do not offer their services to so I don't think this kind of case will be exempted from such categories. We already know how most casino operates. They allow you as a gambler do whatever it takes to deposit and lose your money, but when it's time for you to place your withdrawals, you begin to find something many rules which you have broken and then have your withdrawals with held. One thing I know if is that even if they allow you to use VPN to play or access their sites, they still do not permit players from restricted countries. They will have no choice but to flag your account as a violation to their terms and conditions.

I don't think they will resolve such issue because the customer in question has already violated the rule by bypassing the normal procedure and used VPN. The Gambling site can't solve that problem because their database will indicate that gambling has been ban in that region. It is just unfortunate that some people will know the risk involved and will want to try it. The fact is that people should avoid any gambling site that is not supported in your region, if not you may win big and lose it to that casino because of KYC.

Totally depends on them whether they would be strict with that or not, but knowing that casinos do really want or like to hold or locked up those gamblers who had violated something not only on the platform but also into the origin country on where they do came from then it would be something that will really be used upon you and as a gambler then you wouldnt be minding on chasing with those wins considering that its is banned into your country then you would really be that afraid on pursuing it out. Yes, its sad but there's nothing you can do about it because they might be having that different approach or decision if they are having that restriction then you are the ones who do make use of VPN then they do allow it, but there's no sense on this one because if they do have restriction then why would allow VPN on the first place? Here is two realities with using VPN on gambling sites and it term's of service.

1: If the casino allow gamblers from your country which should be stated in their term's and conditions that player's from your country are allowed to use that casino even if your local law ban gambling, if you play on the casino and account have issues you will get through even with kyc and prove of funds verification.

2: second aspect is if the casino explicitly banned player's from your country, that means you won't have way of getting through with that verification and being unable to withdraw.

It's definitely possible, and only if the person was investigated in some sort. I think as long as their terms have somewhat of a direct wording like

"Residents of restricted countries may not register."

Even though gambling is banned in a country, many people are gambling using VPNs and they are using tricks and withdrawing money. I know several gamblers who have KYC verified from a country where gambling is not banned through a relative (maybe using another local citizen's ID).

If the casino company finds out that the account does not belong to the original identity provider, then the account may be confiscated or the funds may be frozen.

You may be able to gamble using a VPN but you will not be able to verify genuine KYC or they will not give you access. There are several casino sites where you can gamble without KYC verification.

Well, for me, I would say that the gambler won't receive anything because he or she is already gambling from a restricted country but they used VPN to access the betting platform. Although, some casino will only repay the person who's gambling from a restricted country with the hell of VPN the initial amount of money they they fund on their account, but that can only be done if the casino cares about their reputation. There are many betting platforms out there that would not return back the initial deposit of the play.

My question here is whether the casino will allow the restricted player to withdraw his or her initial deposit, since they already denied them withdrawal of their winnings. Obviously, if they can't withdraw their winnings, they can not also withdraw their initial deposit because their country has already restricted them from gambling, so what is the need for the casino to refund them their initial deposit?

First of all if using vpn in casino is allowed and gambler does not violate any terms and conditions, then no problem will be faced. But kyc is mandatory in all casinos except no-kyc casinos. However, suspected gamblers are usually asked to kyc but their winnings will not be confiscated even if gambling is banned in that state. Because many gambling platforms are banned in my state too but I can do everything without problem. So i think casinos should follow all rules and avoid abuse.
