Many people are complaining about the economic aspect of the present days, but it's also worthy noticing there is still opportunity available if you know where to do your research and where to invest your time.

It's called an abuse. Don't do this. But I do understand where this is coming from, as many people may have really made some money doing this act of fraud. Jumping from one place to another while there's an existing loan and never going back there to avoid being targeted by whoever is trying to get the money back. It's an easy escape because there are no CCTVs yet and people would not care.

Do that now and your face will be plastered on social media, and some of your friends will definitely find out about it, which can be humiliating for the family. It's not a good business anymore, and the requirements for a loan are not that easy anymore.

Everything is advancing and the way we use to get access to things are no more like before. Things are getting even more expensive because of inflation despite the effect of technological advancement to make things easier already felt. In the past, works are more accessible than they are now. The labour force was lacking a lot of workers and it was not hard to get a job then even with your secondary school certificate. I know many people that got work then using their secondary school certificates unlike now that even with your ph.d, work is hard to get and getting a good paying job for the effort you’ve putting into your studies is hard to see. Overall, things are getting much easier but landing good jobs and cost of livings are getting higher.

Absolutely correct, back then things were cheap but making money then it’s very stressful as there was no development then or tools to help them by making their work easier and faster for them. Though, corruption was not much as it is now but both life then and now has it’s own advantages and disadvantages which people embrace with happiness and sadness but whichever, life continues.

Well the old good Days may have gone and things different now but despite that being said the old good Days was no as easy as you described or think. Maybe you where just told that one can go to foreign countries and take credit, new  phone and car without question, how is that even possible when you are not a citizen. Actually things where not that easy atleast you must be realistic. What you can say is that things where way cheaper than it is now, inflation was not high as it is now. But life was not as easy as you think.

As we put it this way, there are pros and cons in both eras. What we can do now is to adapt the fast changing environment because of AI. If we will not equip ourselves with skills according to this age, I believe, we will be left behind. The evolution is quite fast and so we need to come up with strategies that can also catch up this advancement.

This problem of employment is not only due to the growth of population but also in our time it is easily illuminated everywhere in the light of education. Today the education rate is much higher than before. So at that rate employment are very few and getting a job has been challenging.

I myself have heard many stories about the past. But I think now we should not remember those golden days because everyone should be realistic. Interestingly, the respect that educated people of the past received, no one gets that honor now.

Because people believed that if we are educated, more educated jobs would open up. For example, a person with a software engineer title would have an easy time finding a job, because there will be an endless amount of need for them forever. That turned out to be not correct at all. This is why we are facing these types of issues, because there isn't endless employment even at the top levels. Like you could be a surgeon and needed a lot in many parts of the world, and may not find it in your town because there is already one. I know a person who is a professor and failed to find a decent job because there are already many professors in that field.

So as you can see, studying was good, that's not the ad part, but we still do need miners and garbage man, and nobody wanted to be that anymore, those jobs were vilified and acted as if they were "bad" jobs, like something to be humiliating, "so you are only a lowly garbage man ewww" was the cultural response, we do not say that openly, but it is obvious that nobody wanted that, and only people who are seem or deemed unworthy of a good job took those. Then we wonder why we have immigration, because people who are born here did not want those jobs.

In the end, we are going to have employment issues, and still lack or have employees at the same time. How? Those dishwasher jobs will go unfilled, while coding jobs will go unfilled and not needed at the same time; coders will stay unemployed, while people will be looking to pay a lot more for a garbage man because they can't find anyone.

Sounds like a personal issue for someone who have blown their credit and got blacklisted. Or are you talking about some loan shark services with insane interest that have been shut down?

If banks give loans to random people without checking their backgrounds and credit history, something in fundamentals is terribly off and you could expect some horrific backlash later on similar to housing mortgage crisis in US.

Anyway for me at the least, it's never been easier to get credit, so maybe you just have to be better of financially for that.

I think the only difference between then and now is the increasing number of Population and that results to competition that the biggest challenge of this generation, an this increase in Population also has a hand in an ever increase in inflation. And this is taken advantaged of by those who think won't pass in the qualification and requirements of the banks, so they go to the loan providers but with a quite high interest that they are accepting. Well, old good times, I remember when my couple of bucks can buy a lot. But these days, if you come out with a $20 in my country, that won't even enough to buy enough things to survive.

Time marches on, and change is constant. Every generation has its ups and downs. Regarding the economy. whether this is a global trend or not. The situation in recent years hasn't been great. there are many factors making things really tough. Yet, I can't imagine or wish to go back to the past, as the situation wasn't much different then. After all, we live in a developing country, where everything is inherently more difficult.

When it comes to credit, there are actually so many ways to access it these days, and that has had negative consequences. Ultimately, some people are forced to take out predatory online loans just to cover their credit card bills and debt installments. I just find myself wondering why I didn't buy Bitcoin, gold, or silver back when the prices were low. Well, the simple answer is that I didn't have enough money at the time. Those days were sweet!! for some countries at least. Here in my own country Nigeria, we never really had that easy money phase. No walking into a shop and walking out with a new phone without stress. Credit wasn't just handed out like that. We have always had to hustle harder. When we do hear stories of people living large on credit in other developed countries and it sounds like a different world to the ears, but we have learned to survive with what we have, even when things get tough. Our version of the good old days was just a time when things were a bit more stable not when money was flowing freely. We take what we can get and keep moving forward.

I used to hear about credit cards when I was very young how in Europe and America, issuing companies would be competing against themselves to issue them to eligible members of the public, I heard that somebody can exhaust one credit card and move to another one without paying back the  first one. Now we're having an infestation of loan sharks, they are everywhere online advertising how you can access fast loans through their apps and putting a lot of people into dept by taking quick loans for unnecessary expenses. I think that people should be more prudent about their finances and only apply for a loan when it is absolutely necessary.

Inflation will keep getting worse as well, because printing money has been their usual response during economic downturn, and there has been no fix to this, it just getting worst instead.
Money will become less and less of worth, so yeah, people should start putting their money somewhere that could preserve its value. Bitcoin is one of the top choices without a doubt.

People should move on from the past and start learning how to avoid getting affected by the rising inflation. Because those days/opportunities aren't coming back. A hundred dollar won't be able to fill a cart ever again.
