Malware/Phishing Site Impersonating FeatherWallet

I have seen a clone of FeatherWallet. The fake site is very similar to the real one, but the domain differs by a single character.

Please be extra careful when visiting FeatherWallet. Double-check the exact URL spelling.

Is that on Google search engine? It is not a surprise. But also other search engines may not be perfect. It is very good to know the right domain of a site before visiting the site.

Some people will just search for the wallet and get the fake site results and be scammed.

I have heard about the wallet before, but I have not used it. I prefer to use the wallet that I know than going for new ones every time.

nice catch @Trêvoid. i have reported the phishing domain to both the registrar and cloudflare, i hope the domain gets taken down soon.

i would encourage others to do the same.
it literally only takes a few minutes to send a report email (if you don't feel like writing the email, you can just ask chatgpt or any other AI to write it for you).

It appears the DuckDuckGo search engine, displaying phishing sites in the first order, links to which are originally in the second order.
Any search is not perfect, including Google, Yandex and others, it is better to type the URL yourself than to seek the help of a search engine.

typing the URL yourself is only as good as your ability to catch typos, a Y instead of a T or any two close letters on the keyboard (especially on a phone), and you could always end up on a phishing website instead of a dead domain.
bookmarking the URL after you make sure it's correct is the safer option, but both are still better than blindly clicking the first results on a google search.

Those who are involved with crypto should always check that they are visiting the real site. It doesn't matter whether it’s a crypto-related site or any other website. Because scammers always will try to scam and hack us in various ways. They just need access to our device or wallet.

Sometimes indeed we make typos, this should also be looked at more carefully, and better bookmark URL is much better as you say, I am more than 10 URLs in bookmarks for important sites than doing in search engines, although I myself can identify still vigilance should be there.

For me DuckDuckGo search engine is worse than other search engines --- you when mixer DuckDuckGo displays many phishing sites so are other wallets.
