"Numan467" - another account I suspect of having nefarious intentions

I noticed a thread Who Can Access Your Bitcoin If Something Happens to You? in the Bitcoin Discussion board. It was created by the Numan467 account.

The content of the OP seemed more akin to a pretext to post under the guise of asking an innocent question by a curious member rather than that actually being the case. I looked in to the account and found some concerns.

He created the Numan467 account on 30th August 2023, this is the pattern of the first seven posts made by Numan467:

1st post made on 13th November 2023 (Pakistan board)
2nd post made on 13th November 2023 (Pakistan board)
3rd post made on 13th January 13 2024 (Pakistan board)
4th post made on 9th August 2024 (Pakistan board)
5th post made on 9th August 2024 (Gambling board, ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion)
6th post made on 11th August 2024 (Pakistan board)
7th post made on 27th July 27 2026 (Pakistan board)

It has been eleven days since he returned to the forum after a two year hiatus. In these eleven days he made 37 posts whereas in the previous nine months before his absence he made a total of just six posts.

He has now started posting in various boards and even though he seems to be predominantly posting in the Pakistan board as that is where he is expecting merits from, his attention has shifted to WO and that is where he currently received more merits.

This is highly suspicious behaviour.

As always, there could be perfectly good explanations therefore Numan467 has been invited to this thread. It will be interesting to read why a newbie would join a Bitcoin forum to make six post about sports and almost everything else except Bitcoin in the first nine months and then leave for two years, only to return to post in various other boards seeking merits rather than actually contributing in a positive manner.

After the recent controversy that occurred by members associated with the Pakistan board, my instincts tell me this is a farmed account that the puppeteer eventually intends to monetise. A suitable tag has been placed.

The last thread I created similar to this was The "Just Common" account is one of many farmed accounts in October 2025 therefore around 10 months ago (and he stopped posting using that account soon after the thread was created).

I do feel periodically it is important to discuss what account farmers are doing in order to build up their accounts and the steps the community can take to disrupt their efforts. Quite often, receiving merits in local boards and WO are key places for account farmers to seek merits and unfortunately it seems as though this pattern will remain the case for the foreseeable future.

Hi @JollyGood I received your PM. I understand why my gap in activity looks suspicious, but there is a straightforward reason for it.

1. Inactivity & Travel: I work in Dubai and travel frequently between the UAE and Pakistan. Work commitments and routine shifts meant the forum took a backseat after I registered.

2. Shift to Bitcoin Boards & WO: I’ve been involved in Crypto and Bitcoin holding for a long time. Now that my work schedule is manageable, I returned to actively engage in market discussions rather than just casual posts.

3. Not a Farmed Account: I am the sole owner of this account, not part of any alt network or farm. Merits are just a byproduct of engaging in topics I know about.

I hope this clears things up. I'm happy to keep contributing constructively to prove my legitimacy.

If there is any feature on this forum to block someone from sending merits, please let me know and I will gladly block them right away.

Am I supposed to be repeatedly held responsible and treated with suspicion every single time just because an unsolicited user decided to send 3 merits on my posts?

A persons merits are theirs to do with as they wish mostly. There are cases where trading them back n forth between alt accounts will likely land you a red tag and selling them will land you a red tag, otherwise you cannot stop someone from sending.

If you repeatedly take breaks and pop back in you might be questioned like you are now. Jolly just looking to slow the bad apples down, but long as you're not engaging in shady activity you got no worries.

Well, merits that being sent from a known farmed account to an account that has behaved in a dubious manner with a long absence does not look good. Though the recipient has no control over who sends the merits, it is normal to ask questions when 50% of the total merits received are from a farmed account.

Here is what I can see from my perspective. In the post above, there are telltale signs that you are indeed part of a farmed account.

The account was used sparingly after it was created with just a handful of posts in nine months and then you put it to sleep. You woke up recently after a two year hiatus claiming you were busy. The fact the account was created in 2023 is the reason you want to use it, in the hope of enrolling in signature campaigns. That is why you are now posting in order to increase your post count.

In UAE we mostly talk in English but still this is not native language. I use grammar correction tools to make sure my posts are clear and readable.

As for my account age and signature campaigns I even don't know about how to join the campaign. I am still in learning phase. My goal on Bitcointalk right now is simply to participate in discussions that interest me and keep up with the community.

I understand you are doing your job to keep the forum safe from account farmers. I have given an honest explanation of my background and travel routine.

Once again, it has to be noted the level of English has improved from your initial posts. As for the content of your post, that is what I expected from you.

I am not surprised you are trying to insult our intelligence, you are being dishonest because your goal is to build up the Numan467 account in order to monetise it via signature campaigns. If you know how to earn merits in WO then you definitely know how to enroll in signature campaigns.

Anyway, I read the exchange between you and nutildah therefore I will give you some advice and you should take note as it will save you a lot of time.

You may have noticed nutildah has given you a neutral tag referring to your AI posts. On that basis alone you will not be able to enroll in campaigns. As this defeats the object of your modus operandi, you are wasting your time with your Numan467 account.

You can spend the next several months trying to reach 100 merits in the hope of joining a campaign as a Full Member but as soon as that happens you will probably receive a signature ban. When that happens you will think back to this post and recall that your greed took over your common sense as I advised you to stop wasting your time.

Forget this Numan467 account and focus on your other accounts without trying to get them noticed otherwise they will also receive tags.

I do not have any other accounts on this forum, Numan467 is my only account. I have stated my facts truthfully, and I have nothing further to add or prove. Time and my future contributions on this forum will speak for themselves. Thank you.
