There's still some time left, 2+ weeks until the CL kicks off.

For this format we don't need any specific number of teams so 15 is ok, so is 19, 21, whatever we get. We won't have groups in which we need a certain amount of teams, CL has 1 big group and the same will be here.
The more the merrier of course, we have long-term plans for the RTG as well and if this one performs well it will be easier to negotiate again.

That being said - 15 teams is 45 people - which makes it one of the most populated pools already - with 2 more weeks to go.

I have seen your post and it has been in my mind. However as I have been a little busy recently I couldn't allocate enough time for the forum. Thank you for handling this for our team. Our logo looks really great.

We are already up like 15%-20% on the sponsorship money. Received the sponsorship for this one and new BSFL season just before bitcoin did its thing. So prospects are looking better than ever.

Now we just need to find few more teams to make more solid knockout stages

I just saw on TG our Sheriff @igebotz made a similar logo for their team (well honestly, only the Red Devil was similar so I think there is no issue to use it!) and they didn't wanna use it because we posted first.

Every team will play 8 games in the single group format, and then we just need to find a knockout format that suits us. 24 teams would be the dream but it's not happening this season
We'll announce the knockout format once we close the registrations. In any way, all teams will qualify to the knockouts.

The first edition of the RTG competition was really exciting and fantastic, uncertain until the very end and I expect the same for the second edition of this competition, related to the Champions League.
I see new team entries on a daily basis so it has become a bit difficult to keep track.
How many teams do we currently have confirmed and how many teams are in the pipeline?
I think it would be great if we had 16 teams again like for the RTG competition, similar to the World Cup in football.
Trofo and cryptofrka, thank you for the great work you are doing, especially for securing the sponsorship of the competition.

Yeah, it was fully random. Maybe we should have avoided that but it was already quite difficult to randomize in real time in a verifiable way.
This format is much better but drawing teams will again prove to be a really tough challenge.

If anybody has any ideas for a verifiable 'live' draw, let us know.

Not really, 16 actually gives us problems. 16 teams do reach the knockouts, but in the 'real' CL format teams between 9th-24th place have a playoff round.
After the playoff round there are 16 teams left.

Ideally, we have 20 teams so that 12 teams skip that round and 8 teams play for the remaining 4 spots.
For those not familiar with the 'new' CL format, check how the last season looked like so you'll understand.

If we have exactly 16 teams, there's nothing to do in the 'playoffs' round. If we have 17 teams, then 15 skip a round and only 2 teams play for the 16th spot.

No,, I do not think it was your fault, but I think maybe it can be made a draw that somehow blocks teams from playing each other at least not in playoff, so maybe fix players from same group in different side of bracket.

It will be different in this one though since it is one big group but maybe in playoff, fix everybody in playoff in different sides? If it makes sense.

I think if you explain the rules in chatgpt and ask it to use a custom randomization formula it might be enough for us For ME anyway
