Apparently I was wrong because I thought that the decision had already been made, but given what we have seen, it seems that there could still be time for some new surprise, although that would be unlikely, not only because of the economic conditions but also because of the preferable future teammates and coach.

I see it as something organic, but the way it's being overly exposed in the media is just part of the media doing their job. They need to drive traffic, so they blow the transfer out of proportion, speculating about every possible scenario that could trigger readers and football fans to react to the news, etc. On the other side, the teams involved would also love this because they can benefit from all the exposure. It means free marketing for them. Prediction markets or sports betting on this transfer are just things riding the hype. It's basically a domino effect, the follow up from all the news and speculation on the internet.

Firstly, I believe you misunderstand my stance.
What I said is that transfer is one of the most relevant topics, but if we are focus on gambling and prediction markets; most sports fans are betting more on who will be the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner. Meanwhile, the OP's stance is that Rodri's future club is the main focus in the gambling space, which I disagree with.

Right now the hottest bet in the sport world and in the prediction market is Rodri future club, before it was just Real Madrid in pole position to get the signature of the Spanish captain that one the World Cup but now it is open Rodri has opened talks with Barcelona representatives.

Fabrizo confirmed it recently that Vini is staying back at Real Madrid and has renewed his contract. it was really complicating for awhile as his move brought about some uncertainties as many were not sure if he was going to stay back or leave. The case of Rodir, i think the probability of his move is higher now as he seem to have now open the door for discussions with teams interested in him, before now, he had some uncertainties around his move too.
Barcelona has been pressing hard with their moves but i still think their financial capabilities may be a challenge but let us see how well they will be able to pull the deal through.

From what I have been seeing in the news recently, rodri has decided to join Barcelona and he has made it clear to Manchester City and also to Real Madrid that he wants to join only Barcelona. What is remaining right now is for Barcelona to agree with Manchester City so they can have the deal done. I think were there will be a little issue is in the price, we all know that Barcelona is having some financial challenges, so they would like to pay less but Manchester City will also want them to pay high because rodri is one of their best player.
Let's just sit and watch how everything will be at the end, if Barcelona ends up not signing rodri I don't think Real Madrid will be interested in him again, so if Barcelona don't sign him he's going to remain in Manchester City or go somewhere else.

Exactly, because I do not see how transfer will be influenced by the betting market when it is the players and the clubs that decides on this matter and this decision can determine if a team finishing strong by winning many trophy or does not perform well at the end of the season. The awards can be influenced but not transfers even though gamblers bet on them and they can be big gamblers doing this.

The FA would not allow this to happen because they know how it can affect the market and cause an imbalance with who gets to go to which club, at what price they get to be bought or sold and other things. If this was to be what is happening then we have lost our ways with the game, I think we can bet on all this personally but they do not play any influence on transfer as it is the decision of the two clubs involved that determined a successful transfer.

What makes this an unnatural thing is that to me it seems normal that the prediction markets give a fairly reasonable bet because they will benefit from the number of bettors who will be in this transfer.
Precisely I am curious about the end result especially when Rodri is not so to be in these 2 clubs (and would prefer another club or stay at Manchester City until his contract expires) then this will be absoulut cinema for summer transfers and gambling.

The case of Rodri is a little complicated at the moment as it has appeared unclear where he will be going. Enzo wants to keep him at Manchester City but Rodri wants to leave and his preferred choice is Real Madrid. But it seems that Jose Mourinho is having a rethink about signing him due to his age and injury records. This is why Mourinho is contemplating other options like Vitinha, and Kees Smit who are younger and probably more likely to fit into Mourinho's physical football style.

The transfer market is unpredictable. Sometimes even players who have had verbal agreement and discussed personal terms still could change their minds.  So there is nothing strange in what Rodri did. Those who bet on player transfers should know that it is difficult to predict. In this case, you cannot determine it by statistics or history. The determinants of contracts are money,  player choice,  coach, agent, and club management. Players or other parties can decide to withdraw from a deal.

A typical example is the case of Vinicius Junior. Initially, Real Madrid acted as if they wouldn't increase his pay, but things changed suddenly, and he got a more lucrative deal. We wouldn't conclude thah Vinicius wanted to manipulate the prediction market.

 Change is constant even in the prediction market too, the odds would definitely change of new development, for instance when the rumor of Vinicius Junior to Arsenal came up i believe the odds to stay at Real Madrid would have increased because he almost or had an agreement with Arsenal if am not mistaken and many would've bet on him to move but he stayed, that's gambling for you.
 It's a similar situation with Rodri, i didnt forsee this recent development with Barcelona but I won't be suprised if he end up moving to Real Madrid, although the rumor of going to Barcelona is vastly spreading and Barcelona might use it as an advantage to convince him.

Both of them are making a different point mate, and in my own opinion, I think that the transfer speculation are mostly talked about than the Ballon d'Or.

As you have pointed out in both of their respective thread, discussion their are going on, but if we are to be going by numbers of post made in both thread, the transfer speculation beats the Ballon d'Or thread by far, cause the discussion there are wider.

One thing that I have gotten to understand about gamblers is that they will always find a reason to gambler, especially in spot, so am not surprised when bettors are betting on a players next transfer move or who may win the Ballon d'Or.

It's a bit too speculative to say Rodri will contribute money from his own pocket. Even if the player agrees to personal term, transfer fee will usually be determined by club-to-club negotiations. It's not right to increase the probability by assuming how much of his own money Rodri is willing to pay, or even able to pay at all.

Barcelona's entry has certainly fundamentally changed the market. But if the deal falls through, that 11% could quickly become 0.
For me, this is exactly why prediction market odd are interesting.
Remaining 11% is not free profit at all. This is that price market is paying for the possibility of negotiation failing. If Barcelona eventually agrees to City's valuation then 11% looks cheap. But if they can't, that 11% goes to zero.
