Gambling doesn't make contributions to few countries's economy, you can't go on the street of Korea and say this out loud, something you don't expect might happen.

Make sense, it shows clear downside but  not a real benefit. Because people tend to care less to bigger problems in their country. For sure there are different people and different country, include also the culture.

Our government is banning gambling because they are used to seeing its negative aspects. Gambling addicts are shown to create social degradation because many gamblers cannot control themselves while gambling. The government has restricted gambling because of those addicted gamblers but there are many gamblers who are regularly associated with gambling platforms and gamble for entertainment.

Our government has limited the scope of this platform because there are many negative aspects compared to the benefits of gambling, whereas in many countries, casinos are run under government sponsorship and the government gets a huge amount of revenue from it.

To be honest with you, there are some certain things which people don't mostly talks about because they have been engulfed by this mixed feelings of gambling addiction, of course people do have all the right to think of whatever they are able to talks about but, we must also remember that gambling do have a positive sides that attributes to our lives where you wouldn't have to be feeling entirely left out because gambling is there to make your day without feeling bored. I believe gambling does have positive sides like what this thread talks about. But on the other side, there are also bad effects that players can feel, and it can even ruin their lives if not controlled well.
Sadly, people tend to only remember the negative side, so gambling often gets labeled as something bad, even though the positive side mentioned in this thread is also real.
IMO, the real problem is not gambling itself, but more about how each person manages the habit. With proper self control, the bad effects can be limited, and the positive side becomes more visible.

This is the reason why our government cannot totally ban gambling; our government manages our lottery and offline casinos. Not after today losing like more than 200 dollars in a few minutes. I mean it may contribute to a country economy as the companies operating it pay big amount of taxes yet I think it does more damage than benefit.

People bring the damages upon themselves, irresponsible gambling is a product of the individual's shortcomings. We always have a choice to make in gambling. If you lost more than you can afford to loose today, maybe you balance it out in your finances and refrain from gambling until a balance is restored, then you try gambling with a defined budget.

Even holy books of all major monoteist religions say that in gambling there is very little benefit while the harm it does to people is much more than the benefit and I agree with this statement. Most people lives are ruined by gambling while very few are improved for real by a jackpot.

Yeah most people don’t really get to talk about the good side of gambling, just the negative side but yes gambling has good sides which so many gamblers has benefited a lot from. Gambling has also helped elevated some person from zero to something and also helped them achieved somethings financially.

Then on the part where you talked about discipline and how gambling can make someone stick to their budget and not exceeding it. In fact, most gambler do exact opposite. Most gambler try to recoup their loss. Sometime they show overconfidence and make emotional decision, which later lead to bigger loss. So, your claim can only be true if you are aware of your potential by practicing self control and bankroll management in advance.

I doubt if gambling give that reliefs one needs from stress, what it does it to put players under pressure and tension and not relieve actually. mostly especially when you’re waiting for the game you’ve place a bet on to be played, Most gamblers don’t get enough sleep and rest after a long day at work because they are anticipating the results of the game so I don’t agree with your point. It can be a form of entertainment but there is no relief in it.
