Most attention is focused on the bad side, like addiction and the rest, but we forget to mention its positive side: if gambling is done responsibly, just as we have often talked about here in this forum, gambling has profits for the government and individuals who operate and patronize them.

This is actually a good topic OP, and my reason for saying that is because I actually did made a comment yesterday, about if gambling truly have benefits outside the trill and all, But this topic did answer that so well haha..

When the negative side of something supercedes the position side the value of the positive side will no longer be talked about that's exactly what happens in gambling and why people no longer talk about the benefits. Yes, I do support the positive side of gambling, such as creating jobs and fan engagement, but that does not only happen in gambling. There is a negative side, which is more prevalent and worse than the positive side. People lose their funds, mental and physical health, their relationships, houses, cars, and everything they earned through hard work, all lost in seconds. Whenever I look at the positive side, my mind unconsciously goes to the destruction, and there are a lot of case reports that are higher than the positive side.
