I have always maintained that this would only be a problem at the beginning of the introduction of AI, like now. Think of how people lost their jobs to the internet and to electricity, and to other inventions that are part of our lives today. I have said it many times on this forum that people lost their jobs to different innovations. There were people whose job was to keep putting coal in a train so the train would keep running. The diesel engine put those people out of work. This is just one example; there are thousands more.
But after a while, I believe AI, if they continue to improve, will provide a lot of jobs. I cannot see how right now, but people won't just sit around because AI has taken their jobs; they would find ways to use AI to their favour. Look at how social media has turned into a full time job for people. I've found similar experiences, we should not look at it in every situation like it's going to replace you, but in some ways it's akin to learning how to use Google. Before it deviated to giving AI summaries for everything, there used to be a knack for searching in different ways in order to find the right results you wanted. People who figured out how to query in just the right way could often get the answers to questions much quicker and this could often make them look intelligent in finding solutions. It's very much about keeping up with technology and learning how to use it to best effect, but every professional who uses IT should already understand that this is crucial for staying in a job.

It would only be plausible to pay for subscription to access these AI services because in turn, there should be a bigger benefit with whatever services was provided. But that aside, there are a handful of AI tools that can be used without subscription like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity and so on. These tools renders both the free and paid subscription which provides more services but that is optional.

It is a reasonable question to consider whether people are willing to subscribe to these AI tools and for what purpose, this is because many people use AI services for the wrong purpose.

Well, this depends on which angle you're talking from. Using AI to brainstorm is one thing and posting AI generated content directly is another. In a discussion forum like this, that's actually lazy.

Bro, I am a student as well, and I have used AI, but only where it was allowed or where we could. But imagine if a student is not given permission to use AI so they have to use their own knowledge, but they are so addicted to AI that they can't. Then yes, they are cheating and they are addicted too, and their minds have become stagnant as well.

This post actually resonates with this screenshot I just shared of which I got from Facebook some days back while surfing through, and it is more like a way forward to increase your earnings and income instead of having or dwelling on the assumptions that AI is here to replace human resources at work.

Not really, the science that we have on these questions demonstrates that your claim is false.
