Solana was $8 in December 2022 when the bear market of that time was about to end, but Solana in this bear market was over $70 right now. Is that not good?

Cryptocurrencies are also in the bear market and you expect solana to increase when bitcoin is almost 50% below its all-time high? Most of these coins are following bitcoin price.

Nothing is the blocker, the token is cooling off from last year price rally, SOL surged to a new all time high of $295 in the month of January last year and after which, the price fall to $96 before pumping to $253 again around September last year, most of those token has been on the dip since late months of 2025, and there's no way they won't fall when Bitcoin is also in the bearish season. What Sol is experiencing the bear season, probably the price will surge again during the next bull season of Bitcoin.

We are in near bottom of a long bear market and you are asking what's the reason for SOL specifically?

There's nothing wrong with sol, it's just a part of bear market like majority of the altcoins.

And what do you mean by adoption exactly? What would that look like other then this? Because from where i am standing it looks like SOL is part of the top altcoins and 5th on the marketcap list if we exclude stablecoins.

It's not a direct cause-and-effect.
There is no rule that the value of SOL holders will increase in the same proportion as network usage increases.

Look at this, I can see that Solana's Real Economic Value last month was $19.1M.
But token-holder net income was negative at that time.



That is, there is a gap between the economic activity of the network and the economic capture of SOL. Again, the Solana community is debating among themselves about supply-side pressure. So if institution, stablecoin, RWA and apps grow but value capture goes the other way, then SOL price may remain sideways for a long time despite impressive network growth.

Too many sellers. The entity such as Pump and Fun was rugging people and they dumped 800m USD worth SOL, and it's still continue. It's getting worsen with how scammers in this meme launchpad is also doing the same by rugging retails and destroy sol potential to reach new ATH.

Although it's still traded in very high ROI, but its ecosystem ain't healthy for long term.

Outage was never the bearish factor for Solana, nobody really thinking about it after the outage has been getting less, the meme coins degens especially don't even know outage exists. The reasons why SOL isn't going up higher as you expected can be attributed to the fact that we are in bearish market and the circulating supply of SOL has been going up ever since, if 4 year ago there was 300 million SOL in the market, now we got 600 million. A 100% inflation within just 4 year. Moreover, both ETH and SOL only able to surpass 2021's all time high by measly amount. For now, solana is waiting for bitcoin to get better, believe it or not altcoin's price still follow bitcoin's price.

Have you not thought about how bearish now that is still going on? Bitcoin, ETH and other coins experience quiet price movements so not only SOL is like this because it is from a sluggish market.

The argument can be made SOL is already mainstream considering there are multiple ETFs for it.  As far as not skyrocketing in price, this is mainly because of the current crypto bear market.  Even when the crypto  bull market comes back, there is no guarantee that its price will skyrocket but it's almost a certainty that its price will go up as well.

The major reason why solana is stagnant in price for a long time now is because of its issuance. Every year, millions of Solana is produced out of thin air and majority of those new token issuance is inata-dumped the moment they're received. There is currently a proposal by the solana community to reduce this annual inflation to a bare minimum amount that they think the market might be able to absorb.

No one has any doubt about the potential of Sol, but main issue is the overall crypto market going down, not allowing Sol to also have a good price and go in a good way. Competition is also increasing, but Sol is still one of best in the mainstream. Overall crypto market is looking for a strong comeback, but it is looking not easy due to geopolitics and a few big changes in last few years, which are preventing altcoins from having good growth today.

The latest price is $75, while many are predicting this could be going good in the near future. I also have expectations that this will touch around $100 in the coming few weeks.

I think that it had shoot so much in the last bull run, although that's not the first time that it had hit that ATH. It's a series of ATHs if we're going to take a look at its chart. So, it's with 2021, 2024 and 2025. I guess that the current status of it and pricing is due to the bear market. The price @ $76 is still fine if you'd ask me but this is of course for those who have bought it during the dips. The current price might not be the lowest ever, we'd see probably the lowest at the end of this year, nobody knows.
