Bitcoin is a decentralized project and there are many Bitcoin wallets to use but I would like to choose either Bitcoin Core if I want to run my Bitcoin node, or Electrum if I want to have a SPV wallet to use (but with Tor).

Bitcoin Knots is a Bitcoin wallet software built up by LukeDash Jr who made terrible security practice in the past, that cost his own bitcoin loss. In addition, there are reports and warnings about his careless development for Bitcoin Knots.

I would not like to use Bitcoin Knots wallet software especially I have many better free options to use.
It's Knot a serious project.

and running that software (knots) now is an issue as it is no longer Bitcoin - Knots had a chainsplint and is somewhat frozen with no blocks in the past 6 hours or so.

trying to spend coins on that chain now will most likely cost you your coins on Bitcoin as knots does not have replay protection.

No blocks found for 12 hours...

The only way to save the coins is to open the wallet in another software.

Ocean pool seems to be running both endpoints of their fork and the existing chain:

I wonder what that means. Any BIP-110 fan here willing to fill me in? Are miners on the new endpoint expected to receive payments in a different coin if a block is found? And is their hash pointed only on this chain?

Did you notice the hash rate drop the pool experienced? Before, it was at almost 40 EH/s, but in less than 10 hours it dropped to less than 1 EH/s.

The pool running on the existing chain retains 20 something exahash.

There was a drop based on their own graphs even but they do retain hash, just on the existing chain. Too much uncertainty it seems.
