Nah why I dey like use Electrum wallet hold my small coins because even as em the give you automatic fees em dey also allow you to manually put the fees of your chosen, depending on how fast you really need your transaction to drop. Newbies always get scared of what they don't understand. the coins cannot be stucked in the mempool for ever, you just need to know what to do. The fee has been very low for a long time now, so Im not sure anyone should be scared when their transactions haven't been confirmed.

Exactly what crossed my mind, transactions can also be purged from the mempool but it all needs patience. If you are the type who is scared of delays in confirmation, then consider using bigger fees though not really necessary.

I've  been using 1 sat/vByte(correct your post)  for the  past 3 months and the average confirmation block has always remain  2 blocks, it only extend yo 3 in some day with a little bit congestion.
 
Unless anyone is in a hurry, setting 1 sat/vB  as manual  fee-rate is going to get confirmed  in 30~60 minutes these days  but if truly in hurry there's need to check priority before using 1 sat. The highest  minimum I've encountered since the past 3 months(for my txns ) is 2 sats/vB else you will end up paying 2x or more(negligible btw)

I think what Bright0515 dey try to talk be say what if the coin was sent to a wrong network, because that's the only way I can relate because I know for sure say if you sent your coin to a totally different address it's good as gone and even the exemption you gave is rare because it still doesn't count as wrong address if we look at it from a different angle since the receiver still has access to the address.
