except this time, we don't even get any money from the forked coins
Well, you can try to get a bunch of satoshis out of it, but it is probably not worth it. If you have BIP-110 coins, that are worth less than 50k satoshis on BTC, then you probably shouldn't even try. And if you have more, then it can be risky to reveal, how much BTC you have, because splitting the coins will obviously reveal it.

Quote
What level of delusion do BLuk-ers have that makes them think they can steal bitcoin's name when their predecessors failed?
At the beginning, they could at least pretend, that "we only did a soft-fork", but now, all working BIP-110 chains just hard-forked in that way or another, while the original BIP-110 is stuck at block height 961,639.

well according to Luke - the "real" Bitcoin was attacked and forked off leaving the "real" Bitcoin with no hash rate so that is why they switched algo's - to save the "real" Bitcoin.

He is in total denial of reality.

bitcoin purity forked from BCH not BTC so you would need to have BCH to get bitcoin purity
No, that's incorrect. It forked at height 961637. AFAIK the few (I think 2) blocks mined by the BIP110 folks are also included in the Purity chain.

I will look for it again but I could have sworn he said bitcoin purity was a BCH fork

ahh yes I was confusing it with another fork - BitFinite - which is a fork of BCH - another confusing coin as it uses a name "BitFinite" which was another altcoin from years ago and then also uses "BFX" which is tied to Blockchain FX coin that uses the ticker BFX as well.

I would think these new coins would pick a name that is not already used by another altcoin.

so, my error - it was Bitfinite that is a fork of BCH.

their first exchange which had recently delisted them has relisted them again and now the B2B coin is at around 330 but if it is just their small circle of a few hundred members trading back and forth is that true sales/buys? or just circle jerking amongst themselves in an attempt to raise the price?

Probably a bit of both.
Someone comes in and dumps the price to get rid of their coins and then they come back and bid it up again.
Sooner or later they are going to run out of BTC
At that price I don't know if many people are going to bother to split their coins to sell.

Yeah, I stopped at the dog/cat thing with them being sad that the bunnies don't breed so he could eat them fresh
I knew about the 12yo/15yo issue and some of the others, but I thought the madness went in the religious way, not that it circles everything in his life.

I've been watching the action a bit previously, and there was always someone buying 0.000x of Blakecoins just so that the price would show the upper side of the spread,so definitely they are trying to manipulate it, problem is that, well, they lack the money to push it, higher. At $200 there are only a few who will make the effort for those coins on a shady exchange so you can prop the price with $1000 at $800 so 1% you might have a few thousand willing to take the risks for the free money so no way they will be able to hold the price when the dumping begins.

I would have thought that the dumping would have started by now.
At a *guess* unlike the 2017 BCH fork. Most people outside of here and a few other places have never heard of knots / 110.

I am 99% sure I know one of the mining companies he is talking about here:

Its actually how I even found out about it. No miner here even heard about knots before the broker sent emails to people warning them about it.

If it's the one I am thinking of, they are probably in the dozen or so EH/s range. And as of 4 or 5 months ago never even heard of 110.

So like most cults outside of the members and the immediate circle almost or the people who are actively fighting against the cult nobody knows or cares.

There are a lot of people sitting on decent amounts of BTC that would probably be happy to split and sell their 100BTC that they have accumulated from back in the day.
They just have no idea 110 / knots exists.

Heck I bet there are some people on this board, who do spend a hour or so a week here that have no idea. Could even be people who spend more. Think of the members here that never or rarely poke their heads out of the collectables section. Could spend hours and hours a week here but if they missed the couple of threads in the main discussion they would have no idea since it's not collectables related or gambling related or.....

As for luke. People have been discussing how bad he is for over a decade, almost 15 years at this point.

And even those who heard about it, they might not be comfortable with the splitting of coins, pulling them out of cold storage, worry about creating a transaction that would be invalid on the bip10 chain, then using a shady exchange, and so on..

At $200 per coin, I felt like it wasn't worth the trouble,  but at $1500 per Lukecoin, I feel more than tempted to do it, even if I get rug-pulled with the first test one by this shady exchange, I wasn't going to invest in it anyhow and I still get angry when I remeber I did't sell my BCH even at 50% of their BTC value back then.
It's going to be funny, blakies spreading the word about their coins going up in value will attract way more sellers than buyers!

Just be super careful, unlike BCH this thing has no replay protection.  This means if you load your Bitcoin wallet in a DashJr node and send the DashJr through the most obvious mechanism to a shady exchange your bitcoins will move there too and it's a pretty safe bet the exchange will NOT give them back.  So the risk calculation you should be making is not about losing your effectively worthless DashJr coins to a sketchy exchange (though sure that's a risk too), but that you'll lose your Bitcoin while making the transfer.

On that note I have some small amount of non 110 coins that I can send people that are split already.
So long as you include them in a TX it should not be able to be replayed on that chain.

If you have been on the forum a while with good trust PM me with an address and I'll send you some.

Best practice IMO would be:

I send you the dust, you create a transaction and include that dust with the coins you want to split to a new address.

Then check that address on a 110 explorer to make sure it's not funded. All your coins should still show on the 110 explorer in the address you sent from.

It's late, I'm tired and going to sleep. But what I just posted should work. If I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

Standard if you are not sure what you are doing, don't do it.
I am not responsible if you mess up and loose all your BTC
Sending is at my own discretion when I have time to dig out the HW wallets.
And no I am not going to help beyond sending you the dust.

Wouldn't it work better if you took advantage of sighashes?

The SIGHASH_ANYONECANPAY | SIGHASH_SINGLE should work well here.
You won't need to send coins to anyone and receive it back (double fees). All you need to do is to create a tx, include a single UTXO (the coins you said don't exit on the Luke-chain), create a single output and send the dust amount to that output (exact amount that goes in, meaning zero fee) and then sign it with those 2 sig-hashes.

Then send the signed tx to the other party privately. They will add their own input(s) and output(s) after yours and sign it using SIGHASH_ALL to sign everything. They'll have to include a fee as well since yours didn't.
This way your coins remain in your control and you are not paying any fees and your coins can be reused many times.

The only issue I can think of is that what you signed can be used by "anyone" meaning as soon as the other party broadcasts the final tx to the network, anyone can take it, extract your part and use it for their own to create a new tx and send that. Although since nodes refuse to replace double spends, I don't think it would be that easy to pull off.

Yes I know, this is why I keep delaying it:
- I have to pull coins out of cold storage
- Move them with a tx that can't be relayed over lukechain
- Move the lukecoins to one of my wallets, then to the exchange
- Move the Bitcoin back to new cold storage addresses as I don't want to re-use addresses and redo the physical storage for the back-up seeds, just as school has started and my house is a mess

It's free money and it's money taken from blakies, but at the same time if Bitcoin goes up $800 it's the same thing.
