From what I know and understand from managing previous campaigns, it is the responsibility of the campaign manager to count the quality and quantity of participants' forum posts, and to check whether they are following the campaign rules, to check whether their profile has a signature and avatar 24/7, and to remove any participant from the campaign if they violate them. And there is also more duties I don't want to mention all the other responsibilities.
What I am mainly talking about here is that how many clicks have been made in the signature code using referral or third-party tools or how many accounts have been created from the Bitcointalk forum through referrals, is this report also the responsibility of the signature campaign manager?

In the signature campaign that I previously managed, I used third-party tools to send them a report of how many clicks were made weekly.

But my confusion here is whether this is really the responsibility of the campaign manager? Because signature campaigns are mainly for branding, making trust in the community, it is not possible to get huge traffic through signature.

Let me know the opinions from the campaign managers.

While the main goal is branding and increasing customer confidence sometimes the advertisers also want to see data. But in a signature campaign only the ad impressions and link clicks will never give you the accurate conversion result if you do not understand the role of the brand visibility.

Yes, it is the work of the campaign manager, but that will depend on the agreement of the campaign manager and the sites that the campaign manager is advertising for on this forum. There are some campaigns that the signature does not have referral link, but the gambling site can notice many people registering after they begin a campaign on this forum. It depends on their agreement.

That cannot possibly be the manager's sole responsibility. To be honest, I don't like clicking on ad or referral links; I don't want to be counted in the statistics just for a brief visit. How could the manager be held accountable for my habits?

It generally comes down to your style of campaign management (marketing) and also what the brand expects. Obviously the service being marketed expects some positive results in terms of revenue from new sign-ups which is why I have seen some service pull out after a few weeks when they see no positive change in the outcome despite them spending money.

I think it's best you make it clear to the brand what your roles will be or what benefits they will gain for running a signature campaign or even first ask them about their expectations.

Managers surely reach an agreement with their employers on what they would offer to their brand, so, apart from counting posts and making sure participants don't spam, there is not much you can call a set-in-stone campaign manager responsibility, it depends on their style and method of promotion.

However, i am pretty sure most managers in the forum even go over what their agreement is with the service, because i mean, a successful campaign is to everyone's benefit, manager and participants alike.

I was campaign manager too. It depends on the contract with the manager and companies. If the company wants to track your previous results, like impressions and clicks, then you may have to provide them if you have it. Sometimes I would have provided it if I had it. Because sometimes a company requests to use their tracking links from where we may share data.

But mainly it’s not a matter of impression or click. Most companies come here to brand their platform and introduce themselves to the forum users. It doesn't necessarily mean managers should track each member here. I don’t think companies expect huge traffic from the forum; rather, they want branding and to build a reputation here as well.

For me, it depends on how the campaign is set up. Sometimes, clients want to use their own UTM links to help track clicks through the signatures. I noticed that this is usually the case if you're talking to the marketing team/staff. Of course, since they made the tracking links themselves, they get to see the data, too, and would no longer ask for it from the campaign manager. There are also times when a client doesn't want to be bothered by all of that (usually happens if you're talking directly to the owner) and just leaves all the tracking/data to the campaign manager. Reports on the campaign's status and progress might also be requested by the client from time to time.  Wink

I'm not a campaign manager, but I've done forum and social media marketing for some projects. For a new platform, leads and conversions are very important, so they usually manage it to fully check the success of the campaign and, from there, take the next best action; but for a well-established platform, they just want branding and visibility, so post counts and board placement are what matter to them. Stake is one example.

Quote
In the signature campaign that I previously managed, I used third-party tools to send them a report of how many clicks were made weekly.
It can be manipulated, user can use a VPN or ask people to click the link, but it doesn't guarantee conversion. In a highly competitive niche, users go for brand and reputation.

Yeah no doubt its main responsibility to enforce the campaign rules and to count the post made by their participants.

But tracking the clicks and measure the traffic they get is I think not required for them. Because for what I really understand the managers job is for long term visibility and the branding of the company, its not job to generate referrals from the campaigns they made.

Just like what you have experience some provide tools to provide reports, but this is not really optional and depends on manager on how they handle their campaign.

So if your new manager don't require you to do those reporting, then you are not obligated to made or create a report to them.

Since the results of the signature campaign are long-term, referrals and click calculations are for short-term campaigns and not for brand building. In a signature campaign, you may not get results from clicks, but over time, the campaign activity will increase as more users see the logo and search for the name of the service on Google.

So, No
