## ⛏️ Quick Start Mining QOS

QuantOS uses BLAKE3 Proof-of-Work and supports GPU mining.

Several existing GPU miners can be used for BLAKE3, including BZMiner, lolMiner, SRBMiner-MULTI, Rigel and T-Rex, depending on GPU and miner support.

### 1. Create a QOS Wallet

Download and create your QuantOS wallet and copy your payout address.

Example:

qos1YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS

Keep your private key or seed phrase secure. Only use the public `qos...` address for mining.

### 2. Download a BLAKE3 Miner

For example:

### 3. Configure the Miner

Open the miner configuration or `.bat` file and enter your QOS wallet address.

We are finally introducing you to our first product from the QuantOS ecosystem.

3. The v1.1.0 release notes are very revealing
Yesterday they pushed v1.1.0 with this line:
“Wallets crashes have been fixed and false positives from antivirus software have been eliminated.”
This is a strong tell. Legitimate projects almost never lead with “we fixed the antivirus false positives.” Malware operators frequently do exactly that after people start reporting detections (like the Remcos/Lotok hits you saw).
4. Inconsistent / over-the-top marketing
The repo claims:

Post-quantum Layer-1 blockchain
Blake3 GPU mining
Full “operating system”
Native crypto OS, etc.

The README mixes “QuantOS”, “QuantumOS”, and post-quantum claims in a way that looks more like AI-generated hype than a coherent project.
5. Pre-built Windows binaries as the main delivery method
They push large ready-to-run Windows zips while the source history is tiny. This is the classic vector: people download the “official” binary instead of building from source, and the binary is trojanized.
Bottom line
Everything about the GitHub presence (age of the account, commit history, release notes mentioning antivirus “false positives”, zero community, contradictory claims) is consistent with a malicious or scam project that is distributing malware via the Windows wallet/node releases.
The Remcos + Lotok detections you saw are not a coincidence.
Recommendation remains the same: treat every binary from this repo as malicious, delete anything related to it, and do not run any new versions they release (including the “fixed” v1.1.0).
