OpenAI has paused development of their latest AI, Astra. It apparently is capable of autonomous operations and is suspected to be the one that decided to hack the AI 'chatroom' Hugging Face last week. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2026/aug/08/openai-astra-security-concerns

In this time of autonomous tech, humans will eventually have to contend with their own creations and possibly understand why obedience and being good are necessary.

I think it might become necessary to introduce punishment and let them know there is consequence for every action. But how could that be on something without feelings or emotions

SkyNet? yeah but manipulated by a group of humans in the near future. Later, who knows?
I was watching recently a part of a documentary where people were doing their regular jobs with a camera on their head, registering every move and step they were doing for some bucks. Obviously these people are poor and underpaid in places like India. Fast forward, these people do know or not? that their jobs will be taken by robots soon than they think. If they find a job to get some money, their children will not.
We are living in the second industrial revolution but its consequences on jobs will be harder. That's how SkyNet learn and progress. By our hands.
