If we look at their performing, Abdul Malik added 117 runs and made a nice foundation in the aim. Haroon Khan added 59 runs and made more power in the aim. Subhanullah Hotak also added 45 runs to the aim and remained not out. If he had got 2 balls, he could have completed his half century. SHE players could not go far from the aim and make the game nice for themselves. SHE players did not add more runs than SHE players who could not finish the powerful nice of 307.

The batsmen of Pamir star gave a very strong target and their batsmen played well with each other due to which they achieved a very strong target as well as a victory by a margin of more than 116 runs. Their bowlers were also enough strong who controlled the batsmen of Shamshad Eagles and made it tough on their batsmen due to which they could not score much runs. They should change themselves in the next matches so that they can victory the match with some strength.

Instead of organizing several league tournament I think Afghanistan Cricket board should focused on their main league to make it versatile brand so that can foreigners player and his own don't hesitate to  be the part, as already we have seen thier league got abundant after the very first season back at 2018, but now after announcement at 2024 now finally they will revive it and organize the second season at Sharjah stadium currently, due to security reasons back at Afghanistan home grounds. Morever lack of infrastructure and basic needs make it difficult for player to survive and keep things flowing smoothly.

When you are trying to hit a good target you have to take start with highest strike rate and we saw excellent strike rate by players of Pamir Stars  cricket team who made a target like they were playing T20 match but they made a score as comparison to ODI cricket and if opponent team will play 50 overs then they will not win this match. Abdul Malik was a person who made century at the start and he made century in just 48 Balls and hit 11 sixes and 5 fours in this match. Other players strike rate was also strong in this match because they applied high pressure on Shamshad Eagles team and they won this match easily by a big margin due to their performance which they gave in this match.

Today was an interesting match between Eagles and Defenders. honestly, Eagles started well and looked dangerous. Muslim Musa scored a well deserved half-century, so at that moment I thought, Eagles were easily going to posted 180 plus runs on the board. But Ahmadzai bowled a superb spell, picking 5 important wickets for only 19 runs, Shamshad collapsed from a strong position to all out 154 in less than 16 overs. This is the turning point of the match one bowler changed the match position in no time

I think chasing a total of 155 was not easy for the defenders, because Mohammad Gul and Izharulhaq Naveed bowled really well at the start. But Mohammad Akram played an aggressive inning of 25 runs, which assisted a lot in keeping the required rate down. Waleed Miakhil remained unbeaten after adding crucial 37 runs and assisted the team to win the match quite easily.

Kabul Premier League just started and its not a kind of start Shamshad Eagles wanted, they have played two matches so far and lost both. The second match of Shamshad Eagles was against Abasin Defenders and its second consecutive win for Abasin Defenders in the tournament.

Mohammad Shahzad Mohammadi is captain of Eagles and he has rich experience of playing international cricket. The only reason Shamshad Eagles were able to score 154 runs are the half centuries of there Captain Muhammad Shahzad and Muslim Musa, no other batter was able to score runs. If Eagles continue batting like that in upcoming matches then they won't be able to qualify for the next round.

For me, hosting in UAE is not a weakness for now. Rather it is a practical solution, in my opinion. Due to Afghanistan’s security and infrastructure limitation UAE can offer world class facility and at same time it will be easier to attract overseas player and investor. ACB is now planning to bring back APL with five franchises.

Another important thing is that Afghan players themselve are now creating big demand in various franchise leagues around the world. ACB has decided to limit their foreign league participation to maximum of three per year in 2026 and want to ensure their availability in APL.

Afghanistan, like other countries in the subcontinent, has a lot of passion for cricket, but the security situation is the biggest threat for them. Things are looking not positive in the long run because recently conflicts are increasing. It looks like cricket is changing this total region; they can't organize any event, but still they are doing their best and having this league, which is promising for local youngsters.

Currently, Sharjah and Noida (India) are their home playing grounds, but this league is being played in Kabul. It's good to try to increase awareness and have things on a good level. They have a few good cities where they can organize matches and more cricket events. Even I am not optimistic about their domestic cricket's future, but one thing is good: they are not giving up; they keep trying their best.
