There are some Fulani and Hausa tribe men in my country who identify Gold easily, they are experts in doing that without even using instruments, they get to identify it by glancing at the gold and figure it out.

That is interesting if they have that kind of talent, these days it's important to have those instruments to verify gold and how much percentage of it is authentic. But if that tribe is reputable and the people from your country trusts them, that speaks of their reputation and their authenticity that their method is trustworthy and verifiable.
Not all of them knows how to detect Gold, those who are strongly in the Gold buying and selling for long had mastered the act of scratching their fingers on the jeweleries to confirm it's authenticity. You know they are old in the business, so it's easier for them to do that.

Sometimes they also convert dollar to Fiat here, these guys can keep physical bundle of cash money up to $50k with them here for business, those who wanna convert dollar, Euros and pound do meet them for business while they convert instantly.

In this world there are various types of high-value assets. And we know that gold is one such asset with considerable value. Various other precious metals also hold high value. I want to compare gold which is the most globally recognized high-value asset. Perhaps gold can be verified if someone purchases it using the included barcode. However counterfeit gold can still be manipulated and even its purity is not guaranteed. We can see from various news reports that there are still many issues with counterfeit gold circulating. This makes me think that verifying gold is still very difficult because the verification process requires a lot of effort. As for Bitcoin a high-value asset which often compared to gold the verifying is very easy, where we only need to check it on-chain because Bitcoin is so transparent. So I personally think that no other high-value asset can compare to Bitcoin in terms of the ease of verifying its authenticity. Do you know of any other high-value assets that can be verified as easily as Bitcoin? Please share your thoughts as well.
There are some gold traders very close to my house, so I have observed how they operate. Most of them identify gold manually. I might be wrong; I doubt if they have any technological means of verifying the authenticity of gold. They observe the hallmark stamp, plating letters and sometimes do magnet, ceramic scratch, or weight and sink tests. There are also illegal gold miners and refiners in my country. So there will always be unregistered gold circulating in the market.

Not only will there always be unregistered gold circulating in the market, but there will also be fake gold circulating. And everytime some gets taken out of circulation, some new fake gold gets put into circulation. People get scammed and lose their money. So physically verifying gold? You pretty much have to go on trust. Mostly trust that the gold is real and the examination/verification was flawless. Which is never a certainty.

Bitcoin would never have this problem. Bitcoin verification is a work of art that cannot be fooled, replicated or faked.

Gold is of high value and can be verified in a way that is known to that kind of asset alone. Real estate is still another kind of high-value asset, and people are making money from it. Everyone belongs to different countries that have assets/products that are obviously doing well, but we have been stuck with Bitcoin alone because people say Bitcoin is better. That is a fact, though, but everyone will find Bitcoin interesting. Choose an asset that you understand.

With all of these numerous assets around, there is just one thing to understand: “If it’s not Bitcoin, it can never be Bitcoin."

Bitcoin is one; no one can duplicate it. Everyone has the right to have any other verifiable assets in their name, as it doesn’t have to be Bitcoin. Just get your facts right and do proper research. There are more than enough high value assets that are not linked to bitcoin. You can take agriculture for example.

Gold is of high value and can be verified in a way that is known to that kind of asset alone.
You can not verify gold by yourself and you have to rely on gold companies as well as quality check mark from any qualified entity to "believe" that physical gold bars you own or are interested to buy are actually good one in quality. While as always, there are many scammers in any industry so there is a lot of risk that you can buy fake gold bars or unqualified gold bars.

Real estate is still another kind of high-value asset, and people are making money from it.
With real estates, you have to rely to the others too and you never know about a real estate's construction quality and durability against physical threats. You again have to rely on third party entities for inspections for example.

With Bitcoin, it's very simple. Copy and paste a Bitcoin address to a block explorer, you can both easily and quickly check that address balance, and any amount of bitcoin shown in that address is truly real bitcoin, there is no chance and risk of fake coins there.

Do you remember a conversation between Changpeng Zao and Peter Schiff in a blockchain conference, on stage, CZ challenged Peter Schiff like how he can know a gold bar given by CZ is a real one.

Peter Schiff actually failed with this challenge, but it's not surprising at all.

Yeah, gold can be verified by checking it using a gold testing machine. I looked up the price on Google and found out that the price varies based on the technology, ranging from $500 to $30,000. Meanwhile, Bitcoin verification relies on access to the Bitcoin network.

IMO, it depends on the condition. Bitcoin definitely wins when compared to gold based on the ease of verifying its authenticity when you have easy access to the internet, to the Bitcoin network. But if you live in a remote area, then gold is the winner. CMIIW.

It seems like it's currently very difficult to find easily verified assets, except for Bitcoin. Unlike other assets, BTC is often difficult to verify. So, in essence, BTC is a good asset and certainly different from the others. However, gold is also a good asset because it's physical, and it's rare to be disappointed by holding gold for the long term, as long as it's real gold. After reading this topic, I'm more enthusiastic about trading because it turns out BTC is a good asset, and it seems very difficult to find an asset that can compete with BTC.

But I think this topic is very good, and it certainly makes us realize that BTC is a good asset that is certainly different from other assets.

I wonder if they have security detail if they have that much to convert and just have to walk in and out of where they're exchanging it. And about these tribes that have been doing it with their fingers, I think that I have watched a bit of it before but I've got no interest. It was long time ago and that's I think is a skill that's innate to them. Isn't it that when they do business of exchanging, they're safe or nothing is happening bad to them?

Although, on the one hand, the transaction process could be initially high-risk without some special supervision, the main protection is in the system of the traditional secrecy itself. The conventional scheme of bargaining using the space in-between the fingers do not allow the transmission of price information to the surrounding population. The strong encouragement of market order by the strict customary laws provides a secure platform within which transacting parties in the society can operate, in effect preventing crime because of the communal consciousness of the members of the local communities.

There are reputable gold sellers that will never stock fake assets. They also have the reliable means to test the validity of the gold it sells. There are also people who are professional gold traders and can identify real gold. It is also easy to buy digital gold from some firms and it can be verified easily. Regardless of my claims, gold verifiability cannot be compared to Bitcoin. The blockchain is like a transaction receipt, and the good part of it is that it cannot be tampered with.

Gold and other high valued assets needs some due process to verify their genuine identity  because there are fakes every where; to verify them, you have to involve a third party to help you check which has made a very big difference because I haven’t heard anything about fake Bitcoin before, and to confirm the identity of Bitcoin is easy and straightforward.

If you can buy high valuable assets without panic of being scammed or being given fake currency, buy Bitcoin. You only need to find a means of keeping it safe by keeping you wallet private keys and phrases safe. Unlike gold and other valuable assets, Bitcoin is easy to buy.

So I personally think that no other high-value asset can compare to Bitcoin in terms of the ease of verifying its authenticity. Do you know of any other high-value assets that can be verified as easily as Bitcoin? Please share your thoughts as well.

I agree that no one compares to Bitcoin when it comes to verifying authenticity.  There is no complex method, it just needs the address holding  Bitcoin and verifying it to the public blockchain, and if one is sending Bitcoin and is yet been confirmed, it can also easily verify whether the transaction is coming from the true bitcoin network by checking the transaction hash through public blockchain explorer site.

I do not think that there are any other high-value assets that can be verified as easily as Bitcoin.  Most high-valued asset needs authorization from the owner and the company who is holding that asset.  They need permission to be viewed and verify unlike Bitcoin where anyone can publicly verify through publick Bitcoin block explorer.

We've got more high-value assets similar to bitcoin. The ease of verifying bitcoin isn't possible with other high-value assets. Verifying of those high-value assets requires more experience and learning. In simple terms, practice makes a man perfect. In Sri Lanka there is a place named Ratnapura popular for the gems. Here people bring the gotten gems to the local gem market. The brokers inspect the quality and purchase it. Further it is traded to different parts of the world. Mostly those gems move to Bangkok and from their gets sold to different parts of the world. The inspection process looks simple, but an inexperienced won't easily find the best one out. The technology has grown, still the manual inspection is the one that is being followed. Even the technology might fail, but not the experience. With Bitcoin it is completely the opposite way, technology doesn't fail, but the human minds look for loopholes to fail the technology.

If its not altcoins or meme coins, or dead coins, but its highly profitable and could be a safe haven for majority of its holders, then definitely its the one and only bitcoin, I don't think bitcoin can be counterfeited on its blockchain. But we're all aware that there are bitcoin scams and fraudulence happening around as long as bitcoin is concerned.

I've known different assets but when it comes to fast verification, nothing can beat bitcoin. That's probably the reason also why people easily trust bitcoin scammers and lose their money too fast because once bitcoin is involved, they don't have to think twice about it.

Gold can be verified easily,  and there are still other high value assets that can be verified easily without using any tool,  you just need to get familiar with them.  But, Bitcoin verification is very easy and simple compared to other high value assets,  as for me,  I have decided stick to investing in Bitcoin since I don't really know how to differentiate between fake and real gold,  as well other physical high value assets. Therefore,  investors should stick to high value assets which they can easily identify the fake and the real one.

Yeah, gold can be verified by checking it using a gold testing machine. I looked up the price on Google and found out that the price varies based on the technology, ranging from $500 to $30,000. Meanwhile, Bitcoin verification relies on access to the Bitcoin network.
$500 gold tester is unreliable for commercial setting and if you're using it to verify the real value of the gold, you won't get accurate result and when you get inaccurate result, you're as good as verifying none of your gold.

you will need XRF machines at the range of $5k even for basic models to be able to verify the gold purify accurately enough which means not everybody can verify it because not everybody want to shell out several grand only to verify their gold.

Honestly, real estate can be verified far easily than gold in a country with good governance system because you can look up the land titles online and it's guaranteed by the country's law, on top of that, you can use gmaps to see the land from satellite imagery.

Interesting example. I wasn't aware of real estate before. Thank you for bringing it up.

Here, let's set the boundaries first. We are talking about countries with good governance systems, regulations, laws, no land mafia, etc. IMO, real estate may be verifiable in terms of ownership and location, but the value is subjective. It is usually based on location, condition, etc. In short, we can't easily verify whether the property is worth what someone claims.

Also, speaking of condition, there is depreciation due to the age of the real estate. I'm not just talking about depreciation in value, but also the overall physical condition. Gold and Bitcoin have much more objectively defined units. 1 BTC is 1 BTC, 1 Kg of gold is 1 Kg of gold. But real estate is different. Its condition can diminish in many ways, and that can affect its value. CMIIW.

Bitcoin will remain the best to verify by everyone, it takes nothing or any machine to test Bitcoin, I remember how my father lost money to fake Gold dealers, I think twice, that happened because he can't do the verification himself, there is no way to tell the difference for someone who is not a true Gold dealer, Bitcoin is very different when it comes to this, the Blockchain is public and the transaction on chian will reveal the genuinely of it all, I will always be my favourite innovation over everything else that we have in this world, until I am proven wrong and I have no reason to look elsewhere.

If someone buys gold and the seller claims it to be 99.99% pure, then he must take the help of various types of equipment to verify its authenticity. There may be cases where the gold are pure, or it may be fake or the karat content may be low. That is why it is very difficult to be 100% sure after buying gold. But in the case of Bitcoin, there is no such uncertainty. If someone invests in Bitcoin, then he can easily check his Bitcoin. If he checks his address using Blockchain Explorer, then he will know about his Bitcoin within just a few seconds. For this, he will not need the help of any separate third party. A gold holder needs legal records or ownership documents to verify the ownership of his own assets, but he does not need so much to verify the ownership of Bitcoin. Only if he is in control of his private key, that works as his proof.

Nicely explained, brother. BTC is easy, transparent, provides better security, and we can also maintain privacy. If we are holding gold and other properties, people will eventually come to know about it, but if we are accumulating BTC, no one would ever know we own any unless we share it publicly.

I also want to invest in gold now, but my understanding of gold is very weak. I want to use DCA strategy in gold as well, but recently something happened near me that has forced me to think twice. Authorities here are not as honest as it seems. A recent case in which the police raided a house to catch a possible criminal. He was not proved or anything, but in that raid, the police stole everything, their 140g gold as well. That's not a small amount, and now they are not returning it. They did not record it on their side. The whole system is corrupted, and the owner is still finding ways. They did not just steal his gold, but took all the smartphones and two motorbikes.

Those were the properties of the victim. I would call them the victim because the police had no proper evidence. They just do that a lot here. A small doubt is enough for them to raid a house without a warrant. Can you imagine? My company is very clean, but anything could happen in such an environment. Who would be responsible after? Anyway, that's why my first choice is BTC.

The next investment after Bitcoin seems to me to be real estate. If a person is able to do proper research and make the right decision, then his chances of profiting from real estate are much higher. However, each person has the right to make his own decision and each person can proceed according to that decision.

If I consider my personal decision, then I will definitely put Bitcoin above all and along with this I will invest in another field or start a business. I have a dream for a long time that I will start a business and I cannot start because I do not have enough money to build that business, but I will start very soon and move forward with everything together, especially Bitcoin.
