500 NOID for a confirmed non-critical bug with material impact on the current mainnet release.

10,000 NOID if you can prove that the unmodified current mainnet release can accept an invalid State or proof, allow unauthorized spending or issuance, disclose a wallet secret, execute attacker-controlled code remotely, or deterministically split or halt the network. These are the boundaries Parano1d is built to hold. If you can break one, prove it.

Reports must be submitted privately. Raw AI output, scanner dumps, speculation and improvement proposals are not bug reports.

I think that’s fair. The strongest “landing place” for Parano1d is probably not another generic payments coin, but infrastructure for applications that care about bounded state, pruning, and long-term node sustainability.

Things like lightweight financial apps, state-efficient DeFi, long-running autonomous services, or systems where you want verifiable history without forcing every node to keep unlimited data forever.

The protocol innovation is already there. The next big step is proving one or two real applications where those properties matter enough that people actually need them.

UPD: I need to find a good way to give community-built tools and infrastructure visibility on the main site. We already have pools, independent mining software and a community-built block explorer. The site source is open, so builders will also be able to submit pull requests to add links to their own work. I think that is the right way to do it.

Follow-up: lower fees, NOID-GPU v1.1.0, Pool upgrade and Explorer are now live

This is the follow-up to my previous post. The updates announced there are now live.

Each fee has been reduced by 25%.

The pool dashboard displays the 7.5% current-round fee. NOID-GPU v1.1.0 also prints its 7.5% developer fee at startup. The two fees remain separate and fully disclosed.

The controlled same-GPU RTX 5070 Ti test improved from 34.566 to 41.130 MH/s: +18.99%.

The older public figures of approximately 62, 42 and 26 MH/s came from shares delivered to the pool, while the new figures are offline wall benchmarks. They show the progress of the complete release but are not a controlled kernel-only comparison.

The optimized Poseidon2b path now performs 448 instead of 502 GF(2^128) multiplications per permutation, reducing arithmetic work by 10.76%.

Windows, Linux and HiveOS builds are available. The HiveOS package supports Ubuntu 20.04 / GLIBC 2.31.

Supported GPUs: NVIDIA RTX 30, 40 and 50 series. RTX 20-series cards are not currently supported.

Pool upgrade

The pool now uses persistent HTTP connections, reducing TCP connection churn when fast multi-GPU rigs submit many shares.

The dashboard has also been updated with separate measured/reported hashrate, worker statistics, address lookup and clearer block status.

I am not claiming a lower orphan rate yet. I will publish a before-and-after comparison only after enough live data has been collected.

The new read-only explorer includes block headers, recent block details, transaction and address search, balances, UTXOs, rich list, supply, difficulty, mempool and peer information.

The explorer has received a mobile formatting update and now works much better on phones.

The Blocks tab has also been redesigned and now shows protocol block capacity together with live mempool load, so you can see how many ordinary transaction pages are waiting for the next block.

Honestly, the fees on this coin are crazy.

There’s a 10% protocol development allocation, a 10% miner dev fee, and another 3–10% pool fee, depending on the pool.

For a new PoW coin trying to attract miners, those fees are a serious handicap.
The overall fee structure really needs to come down.

The explorer stores its own historical telemetry in SQLite, while current balances and live UTXO ownership are read from the node's live data rather than reconstructed from a separate third-party index.

One of the more interesting parts for me is the State section. Instead of only showing blocks and transactions, NOIDSCAN can now show whether the global live State is growing or shrinking over time, State reduction activity, and how far the network is from the next State expansion.

Parano1d v1.0.2 mainnet update

v1.0.2 is published. This is a mainnet security and reliability update. It blocks browser-originated requests to the default wallet RPC, strengthens synchronization and HeaderDAG recovery, stops the external miner before template expiry, keeps scheduled payouts on the correct proof-class boundary and rejects obviously weak Photo Key images.

There are no consensus, wire protocol, proof profile, matrix, port or storage-format changes. v1.0.1 and v1.0.2 remain network-compatible. No data reset or configuration change is required.

I recommend everyone update, especially node operators, pools and miners.

Bug Hunt update

The first eight confirmed reports have been fixed in v1.0.2, and 13,500 NOID has been paid.
No consensus, proof-system or cryptographic failure was found. The critical report concerned browser-originated access to the local wallet RPC.
