There has to be more entertaining games being developed and not boring games as gamblers checking out the casinos also want to have fun too as they try to make some money.

Well, one of the biggest challenges decentralized and Web3 casinos have it is the fact most gamblers have grown already accustomed to have very graphically rich games at their disposal on centralized off-chain casinos.
One can program a smart contract in order to play dices, or even blackjack against the house. But it would be completely different to have a smart contract running a slot like Sweet Bonanza or Dead or a wild. Which is something which has not been achieved.

That is why it is very difficult for Web3 casinos to compete against normal crypto casinos.

I wouldn't trust OP and his website at all. Go to their About page and scroll down, you'll find a fake "team of professionals" which came from this web template. Their reviews and articles also scream as AI-generated.
It's a shady, low-effort casino review/affiliate site. He didn't even bother changing the names or replacing the stock photos. Roll Eyes

Yeah, I think this is one of the main problems with Web3 casinos. Technically, it’s relatively easy to create a fully transparent game using a smart contract if the mechanics are simple - for example, dice, coin flip, or some card games.
Today, popular slots aren’t just random result generators.  They have high-quality graphics, animations, music, bonus rounds, multipliers, cascades, and many other mechanics.
At the same time, I don’t think absolutely all of the game logic necessarily has to be handled by a smart contract.

And this is where regular crypto casinos still have a huge advantage.  Web3 casinos have to solve the technical problem of decentralization while also trying to provide a comparable entertainment experience.

You're right! and not replacing the stock photos could be understandable if they didn't have much time to customise the template or they liked the sample ones, but not changing the name is a red flag for me since it borders impersonation.

Although I was already forewarned since the OP stated that he runs one of the most reputable casino review websites, but it's not among those I know. Who knows, when in doubt I will give them a vote of confidence, but with caution.

To get a reputable casino you will need to carry out the research by yourself because there are lots of casinos out there operating differently, some which are still reputable but it image has been tarnished by some negligence gamblers who does not pay attention to details nor read casinos terms and policies till they want to withdraw their money but faces a reality they bypassed before because of ignoring policies, you know if any gambler faces issues like this they will blame it on the casino for being inauthentic and fails to admit that the warning signs where clearly stated but they never cared to read it, people like this will not give you a good review of such casino regardless of the geniuses of that casino, so it will be best you do your research too before you buying others reviews.
Yeah that’s right. Reviews can sometimes be misleading, both in the positive sense and also in the negative sense. Considering the fact that casinos now pay users to give positive reviews to their casinos, so just the fact that a casino has loads of good reviews and ratings doesn’t necessarily imply they’re that good. Same with some negative reviews, some gamblers tend to blame the casinos without actually admitting that they’ve also failed to adhere to the terms of Service of the casinos but choose to ignore them completely. Which is why conducting proper research is very advisable for everyone before choosing a casino and not solely relying of ratings and reviews.

And this is where regular crypto casinos still have a huge advantage.  Web3 casinos have to solve the technical problem of decentralization while also trying to provide a comparable entertainment experience.

Well, it would not be impossible to build an attractive slot experience on a smart contract. The contract could just deal with the numbers, logic, bonuses and multipliers of the game (the math itself), the graphic design, sound and animation could just be sourced from the server of the casino itself, making the game 100 percent provably fair de decentralized and still attractive. The problem comes with the cost of implementing something like it for a small and unknown casino.

This idea would be something a casino would much money to risk may implement, and only to please a niche of the market... On paper, it does not sound too profitable.

I would still recommend reading reviews, but very carefully and, of course, understanding that they're written for money by those who consider this their job. Naturally, bookmakers with a lot of money can afford this, but I think most reviews on our forum are genuine and honest, especially from reputable users who have a strong reputation and deserve respect and consideration. At least, I always pay attention to this, and not a single casino or bookmaker has let me down yet, even though I very rarely register on new platforms.

I am not seeing at least one on-chain casino nowadays. Because, it would be too slower to get results. And in my opinion, casinos opted for 'provably fair' instead of being on-chain for avoiding delays. Using cryptos for payment got nothing to do to call a casino 'on-chain', and you are right naive gamblers do mistake crypto casino with on-chain casino.
When on-chain casinos were being hyped, they were mainly concepts funded by people like me who didn't yet know how blockchains worked. Whole hype was basically build on same theme as icos were, which was that you can fix anything by "building it on blockchain" which didn't mean anything.

People like me weren't technically savvy enough to understand what blockchain was suitable for and hype blinded me, so i thought that everything needs to be on-chain, including casinos. Lesson learned.

One thing about forum reviews is that it's not just about the member who drops it being reputable or not; the reputation can add extra to the review, but the other thing that makes it more unique is the fact that other members can also support or counter that review since they also use the service and can testify if it’s true or false.

I also think that putting entire slot game on-chain is often unnecessary. My understanding is the main benefit of transparency is achieved when the outcome-critical part like- RNG, game logic, payout calculation, and settlement etc are on-chain or independently verifiable. And graphics, animation and sound can be kept off-chain. This will make player experience much smoother and will not put unnecessary computation on the blockchain. Rather, actual challenge is not just cost. Creating an architecture where users can verify the outcome themselve and operator cannot change result later. To me, this hybrid model seems more practical for Web3 casino.

Having a review may be good, but this community itself know many gambling sites in a way the reviews can not be of any help to them. If you go to the gambling main board, you will see many active gambling announcements thread there.

The gambling sites active presence on this forum and having good reputation and trustworthiness have been what people in this community have been using as their review.

That's very correct if must say but to an extent, if the review is being carried on by this community user's, the review contents can also be a means to determine the sites reputations according to the user's experience, only that reviews on the sites isn't convinced able enough to trust the gambling site.
For people to also trust a casino or gambling sites, it has to be considered from how long the site has been existing and same time keeping to their terms.
Reputable gambling sites will also focus on the comfort service with their user's while transparency is regarded very important.

I run on of the most reputable and unbiased crypto casino review websites and I wanted to reach out to this community to for topics, mysteries, questions you have in terms of "On-chain Casinos", "GambleFi" and "PvP Casino Games". Also you can suggest to review any casino - We are here to write for the community!

I didn't understand you message, to be honest. But what is a plus, for me at least, is that it wasn't written by AI. These days you could have submitted  any text written on any language to AI and it would return a text in a pretty good English, but you didn't do that and for that I'm thankful.

If you are asking for topics, I'd suggest to investigate, how many crypto casinos are there that are lying about their games being provably fair. I mean, it would be interesting to know the percentage.

Haha yes, I have the same frustration sometimes  Grin
It is a nice question, we wrote an entire article breaking it down - https://cryptocasinoinsiders.com/post/provably-fair-explained, maybe I will write a newer one on same subject soon. Here is my personal frustration with "provably fair", crypto community is a smart community, yet this term alone is manipulating so many people. A regular slot when is getting the certification is getting the RTP teste per a specific amount of rounds (it is in millions), a provably fair one, proves only the hash of the round that it was done properly, yet if the creator of the game manipulates the amount of rounds in witch he is achieving that rtp of 99%, then mathematically he can put any RTP he wants, because he doesnt play by the rulebook of how the RTP of a regular slot is tested.

I bookmarked the article and will certainly read it later, but for now I have this question. If the creator through some manipulations presented his game having a higher RPT than it really has, what prevents regulators form checking the game with their own methods? I personally believe that on reputable sites you won't find a slot or any other game that presented with wrong RTP or is not provably fair when site says it is.

The word " most reputable and unbiased casino review " is your own opinion, mind sharing the name of the platform and let's see something? Unbiased is what you feel like, it might not be the same by my own standards.

Atleast your past work is what people will use to judge your own judgement, honestly this forum has changed a lot of things for us all, there is really no need for any online reviews.

Biased or unbiased I don't care anymore, this forum have saved my ass from so many misleading review platforms online, I won't be needing a new one any sooner.

In this case I really think that for experienced forum member, casino's reputation within the community itself is often much more important than review on 3rd party website. If any casino has had an active thread for year. Its representative regularly answer question and deal with problem when they come up. And there are no serious confirmed accusation against it. Then that tells you much more than dozen short positive review from unknown source.

So for me, the recent history of how any casino interact with its player is especially important.

And this is where our forum has big advantage. It is not just about positive review. You can look at real complaint as well as positive review, see how casino representative deal with problem. And most importantly see how those cases eventually turn out.

There is something which I have noticed from reviews and investigations about those Web3 and on-chain, and it is the fact most reviewers fail to mention the house usually have an emergency switch written on the code of their smart-contracts, so in order to safeguard their funds and the funds of their clients in the case something goes wrong with their smart contract.

In that sense, those Web3 casinos are actually more centralized than most people even realize.
If you could mention that on your reviews, in the case those casinos have a emergency exit on their smart contracts, you would be the exception to the rule.

Are you saying that some people don't even know this? You don't have to be told that casinos are fully centralised, they always have their own kill switch too, I've known this very long time ago.

With the regulations and KYC verification, that's another fact that casinos are all centralised in and out, even betting platforms where sports bet and PvP are welcome, they are all centralised.

I can remember some old topic on this forum where some members are talking about decentralised gambling platforms, today I've not seen one that stood on it.

Yeah, I think this is one of the main problems with Web3 casinos. Technically, it’s relatively easy to create a fully transparent game using a smart contract if the mechanics are simple - for example, dice, coin flip, or some card games.
Today, popular slots aren’t just random result generators....
The problem comes with the cost of implementing something like it for a small and unknown casino...
I’m more than sure that, purely from a technical point of view, such a model is definitely possible to implement, but the question is whether it would give the casino enough advantages to justify the additional costs. What matters much more to them is a good interface, fast gameplay, bonuses, and being able to withdraw their winnings without any problems.
You also have to consider things like transaction fees, confirmation times, network congestion, and the cost of auditing smart contracts. And if things like the graphics and interface are still hosted on the casino’s centralized servers, it’s hard to call the game fully decentralized.

But for a certain group of crypto gamblers, this kind of transparency could really be a major advantage. Being able to independently verify not only the result of an individual round, but also the mathematical logic of the game itself looks much more convincing than simply seeing the words “provably fair.”

Do you do the review yourself or you ask questions to get opinions from others before doing the reviews?

I could help you by recommending you to this user - @NewCryptocasinos. He runs a live review of crypto casino which you called on-chain casino. Ask the questions directly to him  Lips sealed

I just checked your website the "cryptocasinoinsider" and I most confess that it actually has a nice and unique interface, and I sew some reviews about most of the reputable casinos we have got on this forum, and since you are already familiar with the gambling board.
Don't get carried away by the beautiful interface. Be more concerned about the reviews such a platform makes. Because a newbie will be deceived by the reviews if they are not aware that this forum exists. Platforms like this are more concerned with affiliate gain and brand deals after gaining attention.

Correct, there are people who don't have any idea on the existence of those security measures being implemented on smart contracts, so the casino actually holds more control over funds than they initially claim on advertising.
Those users are sold the idea of a casinos which runs on decentralized smart contracts, which anyone can verify and audit, but let us face it: no gambler actually takes their time to do their own diligence and audit smart contracts to know there is some kill switch or backdoor, so the casino can retrieve money in case of an emergency.
Ironically, there is much trust with it comes to the world of Web3 and Gamefi on-chain.

This also proves there are just too many people who believe whatever advertising says.

The name on-chain casino is also a bit misleading to me. Just because a bet or game outcome is verifiable on the blockchain doesn't make the entire casino trustless. If the game logic is on-chain, but custody, admin keys, upgrade authority, withdrawal mechanism, oracle/RNG, and liquidity are in the hands of a centralized team, how truly decentralized is that a casino? I've been thinking about this Web2.5 problem in the GambleFi discussion for quite some time now.
I have been unable to understand the meaning of the on-chain because all the ones that I have seen before that are not usual crypto casinos are using webconnect or the casino connect directly to the self-hosted wallet of the gamblers but after deposit has been made, it is nothing more than the other crypto casinos. Some of the casinos also accept deposit just like other casinos and some even accept fiat deposit.
Provided that the transaction happens directly on a blockchain and the blockchains ledger takes record of the transaction its called "On-chain". What he meant by on-chain casino is crypto casino. Some people have their way of expressing things differently from others. If I'm wrong, anyone is allowed to correct me.

Cloudbet, BC.Game and Stake are known for accepting both Crypto and Fiat deposits.

Possibly he may be referring to crypto casinos as on-chain casinos but which is not right. Many people are confusing web3 to on-chain which is not also supposed to be the right term used to describe them because they are not on-chain either. I have not seen any casino that is on-chain before and I do not think there will be any because gambers may not see it necessary to always transact with casinos after each bet.
